Granted, I've already been here for 2 months, but it's exciting to see my score rising!

I suppose i'll make this forum interactive by asking..
How long did it take for you to get to 80?

Congratulations, just don't go any higher. Everyone left me behind and my self esteem is plummeting.

Hey! Don't feel like that. Never think in the negative aspect please. Always see positiveness and think positively. Everybody has his own piece of cake and his better day.

I am on this site since 3 weeks and my score is 72 with only two hubs. But I do not know about the scoring system as yet. What is the quality of my hub if it is given 63 or 64 score? My first hub had 64 points and the second one 63 points. Can I know the scoring method please?

Congrats, to have that score in only two months is a great achievement.

I noticed the easiest way to raise your score is to become more active in the community. My score, at least, shot up quite quickly once I had that realization. That and hub quality - but I think the former is more effective.

I agree! I've been trying to be as active as possible (commenting on hubs, forums, questions n such), And ever since then my score has been on the rise!

Thank you! I also only need one more featured hub before i'm out of boot camp! It's exciting, lol.

I just read your hub about stump removal. We just removed a bunch of old bushes and my husband had to hack out the stumps. Anyway, I was wondering about the ads you included. I wasn't sure we could include ads before we were in the ad program.

Hubpages gets all earnings from ads before you activate your earnings.  How do you think they pay for the site?

Your profile says you just joined 13 days ago, and you already have a hubber score of 85? yikes
And I though mine was a milestone.. haha

I thought maybe there was a honeymoon period where it starts high and the plummets after all your friends and family quit reading your hubs.

I have now been on Hubpages for about 16 months and am only on a score of 88 so I'd say your doing brilliantly!  It took me about 6/7 months to even get into the 70's.  I've been at a steady 88 for a while now though  .

I started off over 80, and have been fluctuating between the high 80s and the low 90s since then. I found that interacting in the forums, engaging with other hubbers and continually trying to improve my content helps a lot

You're going to drive yourself crazy if you obsess about your hubber score. It's not like a school report card ie. not linked to your performance in a way that you can predict or control.

A good reply. Correctly said. Be honest and do not go by scores. The results will be there for you.

Nice job! I too started over 80, and I have no idea why. I've just been posting articles and commenting here and there. I've only been here a couple weeks, but I really like this community. Figuring out the hub score thing is pretty fun too. Its like a game.

LTM is exactly right.  I'm coming up on 3 years.  My score has ranged from low 80s to 100 and I can't tell you one thing I've done differently from week to week.  Concentrate on writing and contributing to the HP community and you'll do great here whatever your score is.

Honestly, I've replied to less than a dozen forum posts over the last 18 months or so. I'm not sure how much your score is based on community interaction. I've had a high score for months and months.

I have around 60 hubs and every one is a featured hub. I just counted and I have 21 Editor's Choice hubs. My suggestion is to write quality hubs about subjects that will attract traffic. Write about a passion and it will come naturally. Congrats and keep it up!

I too was asking the same thing. What is the basis of scoring method. Is it like the marks allotted to a student during exams?
