This is awful. The new sharing buttons are fine, and they were great on the side of the hub where they were very visible. Even at the bottom of the hub would be fine. But at the top? Our hubs are sure to get fewer shares with the sharing buttons in this location. How many readers are going to read the article, perhaps even leave a comment, and then want to (or even think to) scroll all the way back up the page to share the hub? Very few. Can these please be moved back to a location where readers can actually see them and use them? Thanks.

Do you mean that they are across the top? Or that they are at the top of the right side? Because I just checked four Hubs and they were all where they have always been.

      @Victoria
We are currently testing several variations of the social sharing buttons to see how they perform.
You may see different colors, and placement for these buttons during this on-going test.

Awesome, Matthew! I replied somewhere on this thread in more detail, but in the wrong spot, methinks. :-) I do appreciate your response! Makes sense!

I did see the different colored ones on someone's hub today, and they were off to the right. They looked really cool!

I love the change from b&w to color! Hooray.

Hey, I understand that as you said the things are being looked at insofar as performance goes.  I understand that it could be there's some bugs in the newness of the feature....for having been changed.  I'd like to say though...seeing how many "likes" a page got to Facebook...is a valid and appreciated statistic on my end of things.  I'd like to still be able to see that kind of thing, if not on other person's pages (maybe it's not my business how many "Likes" someone else's page got) - then certainly on my own.  Thanks.

We understand and will take this into consideration when we make a final decision.

Other authors mentioned this useful tool that will let you see the different social media counts for any URL.

I really liked the multi-color option which I saw once today.  It floated down with the related ads - which seems the ideal combination.

Although I don't know how that looks on tablets, phablets and phones.

That is right Victoria, did you see this layout on a computer - or something else like a phone, iPad, etc.?

Examiner, on my computer. (I think I replied in the wrong place--oops.) :-)

So far, my hubs remain color-deprived in this regard. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing.

Just, for heaven's sake, whatever you do, do not animate them. People hate that in ads. So you can sure as heck bet they'd hate it even more on share buttons.

The Examiner--On my computer. Maybe they're not the same on everyone's?

Thanks, Matthew, for that response! That's good to know. Now I'll enjoy watching them move around and change colors until they find their final resting place. LOL. Seriously, I appreciate the timely response. You have eased my mind. :-)

I finally got to see the colored share buttons. Looks darn good. And it's what people are used to seeing. Except ours look even better.

And in case somebody hasn't already mentioned it, the floating attribute does indeed qualify as awesome.

And is there a way to get all our stats back? I had accumulated many likes on hubs for years and it looks like it's all lost! Shouldn't it be good to show the amount of people who have liked an article or pinned it? Is all that info lost forever now with the new buttons? And if so, will new stats start showing?
