Last summer vacation, my traffic was pretty high it reacher 250-400 plus per day now, I only got 150-250 views per day. I was wondering because it searches must increase since it is school opening in Philippines now. I wonder why, hmm. My earnings every day is starting to decrease too.
Is hubpages hit again by this update? Can we do something to alleviate this traffic decrease?
Yes, my traffic has decreased too, about a few weeks ago during the update but it has risen since. Don't despair! Your hubs should pick up soon, make sure that they are all high quality and check their rankings. You will find more info in the link below:

I had the same problem. My site alexa rank decreased and the traffic also decreased. But when you create quality content by researching keyword then again with few days the traffic also increased and so alexa rank
Since Panda hit around May 21st my traffic had been falling but the last two days has seen a big increase.
I have heard it takes about 10 days to roll out completely, I guess they are still tweeking it and making improvements.
Just a few days ago I was up to 1350, now they are around 300..very frustrating.
3000 per day rob? You're hubs generate too much traffic, never reach that views in my one year of stay here on hubpages.
It took about 4 years to get to that point. Also my traffic is extremely seasonal as most are about pool service.
I'm seeing a downward trend as well, but not too drastic. I wonder if some of it is due to just summertime drops - people are out of school, vacationing, busy outside etc. I wonder because my traffic from other sources besides Google has also dropped. I am going to wait it out (what else can you do?) and see what happens. I think overall it will end up balancing out.
I am seeing a down trend. I had 300-350 views per day and it is reduced to 80. I think hub pages is on a downslide. It happens to all. Suite 101 and helium network closed. I am keeping my fingers crossed about hub pages. Lets see 8 months down the line.
over the years I found that it is not Hubpages.it is what the search engines deem to be good or bad content. I am first page of Google for several of my articles with very general keywords. Like "green pool" I am currently blasting around 3,000 views/day with only 20 hubs
yes, janshare, I wish i could reach that views too, 3k per day is just a great number!
As I said though, that only lasts about 4 months out of the year. During the cold season I'm lucky to get 2 or 3 hundred/day. Right now my earnings are between $25-$35/day.
3000 views a day at $5.00 CPM would be $15 a day, different topics have different CPM values. I guess if the CPM was around $10, $25/$35 a day would be feasible. On Youtube videos, the highest CPM I have ever seen is $147!
This reinforces crazyhorsesghost's comment in this thread and others, focus on a niche that you know well and create high quality, useful pages.
Supposedly we aren't supposed to talk about specific cpm values, not sure why, but whatevs. Mine has been greater than $10.00
Yes, we are not allowed to disclose our Google Adsense earnings or CPM, it can get your account closed forever.
I was only speculating on your CPM
CPM values are $10+ ,? I never thought that is possible here, most of us only experienced having $2-$4 CPM which is very low than having $10 CPM. I wonder what type of keywords and niche would generate higher bids. Pretty awesome!
Wow. That's amazing. Seasonal topics tend to very well in their peak times, you must be really rolling in the cash these days! Imagine the potential of writing more hubs in the "swimming pool" genre, you'd be rich!
I know, right? I plan on it., I know there's someone on here that writes about electrical stuff. (how to install a 3-way switch, hang a ceiling fan, etc..) Now that's some year round stuff. And probably very busy traffic. People want to save money. Being a pool guy, I know what I charge for certain services. It ain't cheap. So the average "do it yourselfer" will turn to the Internet for answers. That's why I am cranking in the crazy traffic right now. Good niches would be.... Automotive maintenance, plumbing, electrical, well, you get the idea. People want to save money!
I keep saying this but stop depending only on Google. Again stop depending on Google. Look for on topic niche forums that allow a link in the signature and post there. Look for related Google and Yahoo Groups and post there. Do guest posts on Blogs. But the real key thing is to do Evergreen Hub Pages. Always over 1500 words, photos, videos, polls, etc. Offer real help to the person looking for the key word or key words.
I guess I should start working on my hubs again. I was at 300 views per day last year, but now I am down to 10 views a day if I am lucky!
Ahh well, I will work on getting my hubs back up since my freelance work is drying up!
Mine have bombed! I went up to 5,000 a day, for about a week, usually around 1,500 a day! Now its down to around 500! ah well, it was good while it lasted!
What 5k views that is sooo high! You are amazing Nell. I hope I could reach that number in the future here. It seems you are a SEO master
My traffic was cut in half but I strongly believe it is due to the enormous amount of hubs which are stolen. I think I have been Google slapped because so much of my content can be found elsewhere. Hopefully as I remedy the situation my traffic will return.

Has the Google Panda update really had a big effect on Hubpages? If so how?
by StormsHalted 11 years ago
After the alleged Google alogrithim update probably after 10 December my traffic has fallen drastically from more then 150 views per day to 50. Traffic was steadily rising but after 10 dec it suddenly plunged showing no signs of recovery. (hubs have remained unchanged).

Views per day of my hubs decreased drastically. Why?Views per day used to be 500-650 a day till about 10 days ago. Now for the past 10 days it's be in the region of 200-300. Why? and how to get it back?

To those with decreased hubscores as a result of the new hubscore updates, has this eventmotivated or demotivated you from writing hubs? Has the new hubscore updates making you reconsider staying at HubPages or simply giving up and moving on?

Hi all. Have been away for a while. Can you please update me to the effect that the niche sites have had on your hubpages if any. Look forward to chatting with you all my fellow hubbers!
