A heartwarming welcome

   For any of you who missed it, check out this hub.

   This transition from Squid to Hubber has been stressful, challenging and sometimes frustrating to many of us.
   
   I instantly got an attack of the warm fuzzies when I read this hub.
   
   It feels wonderful to know that despite the fact that some older hubbers are giving us some flack (as if the move here were our idea) others are opening their virtual arms and embracing us.
   
   If you have other examples of hubbers who are welcoming us, please DO post them to this thread.
   
   No, many of us didn't plan to move here, and yes we have many questions and concerns that I hope we'll get dealt with and addressed as the month or so of transition goes on.
   
   And despite the few trolls who feel threatened by our exodus, if we don't have Squidoo any more, I'm grateful we have HP.
   
   I'm looking forward to making new friends, helping to grow a powerful and noteworthy site and being able to proudly call myself a Hubber.

      Hi Lionrhod and welcome to HP. I read billybuc's hub a little while ago and I'll tell you and the others coming over from Squidoo that he means every word he says. Billy is the most helpful person I know here at HP and he has helped me a lot since I joined over a year ago.
      
      I posted a response to his hub and would like to state the same thing here. I'm also willing to help anyone if they have questions and will if I know the answer. I've been checking the answers section and the forums and posting when I can. Anyone can also pop over to my profile and email me if they'd prefer communicating in an email.

      @Lionrhod - happy to know about this Hub as I am one of the former 'Squids' Billybuc mentioned in his story. I came over to the forum to try and find out why I was suddenly getting a bunch of welcome comments on my newly transferred Hubs and found this. Bill is a super person and has made me feel very welcome here at HP.

   I would like to say, welcome. I can't imagine why anyone would want to be rude. Some people feel threatened by the silliest things. As far as I'm concerned the more the merrier. We writers have to stick together.
   
   If your writing isn't good enough that you worry about competition then you need to brush up on your skills.
