Everything after the first post on my travel articles is flagged as duplicate. I have the same structure on each one and since they're travel posts primarily in the UK they will have a lot of the same words. Please evaluate and let me know how to fix this without destroying the series.

    Thank you.

I'm assuming the Hub about Bath is the first one?

Since the only thing that could be duplicated is the headings, I don't think that's the reason for the duplicate warning.

Are you absolutely positive you've never published the articles anywhere else?

By the way, you should split your text up over several capsules, and then you'll be able to put the "Where to Stay", "Where to Eat" etc in as proper headings.   Hubs which are just a wall of text don't do well.   Most people looking for travel articles will also expect to see photos of the places discussed - right now it looks pretty uninspiring!

Yeah, I definitely want to spruce it up down the road. For now I'm testin the waters. I deleted the posts of of Blogger before putting them here. Maybe there's a time delay.

          Hi Aubrey,

There's definitely a time delay. The posts still appear on whatisawesomeineurope[dot]blogspot[dot]com

Here's our FAQ on moving online content:

          1. Copy your content from the online source
          2. Unpublish the content
          3. Wait at least a few hours to see if the content is no longer indexed by Google and Yahoo. (You can also login to Google Webmaster Tools and request a removal of your Hub from Google's search results.)
          4. Copy your content onto HubPages and publish

Hope this helps! Thanks for jumping in @relache, @Marisa Wright, @brutishspoon, and @tempestuous-soul smile

Dang it. Ok, I'll try again a couple of days from now and just save the posts on Word.

You can create the Hubs, just leave them unpublished.

Yes, there is a time delay.  You need to allow a day or so before republishing - and sometimes even longer.

The duplicate checker is not about plagiarism, it's about duplication - so whether it's your own work or not is irrelevant.

    From the HubPages FAQ, http://hubpages.com/faq/#duplicate_content

"Duplicate content is not allowed on HubPages. Your Hub may also be moderated for duplicate content in cases where we determine there is substantial similarity to another work. This includes close paraphrasing, among other forms of misappropriation. "

    There's more to read there.

      It' s all original work.

First off you need to make sure that the content is your own and not copied off any other site. It is possible even if you did not intend for that to happen. Next structure the article using the capsules. Using the Travel template is a good place to start.

Take a look at mine. They are not the best but will help give you an idea.

It is really tough to write articles on travel. Firstly let me congratulate you on that. Now for the duplicate part, try to use some innovative words explaining the monuments / travelling highlights that you want to focus on. That way you will be able to show your originality in the articles. All the best for your revision, you should be able to make it soon.

    Camille, Thanks for answering.
Even I was looking for same info here on hubpages. Yes, even I contribute for other websites. So, we cannot use our same articles in different websites. Well, I want my article to get in here on Hubpages, but the other website, I was contributing for is ready to unpublish my articles, as they are getting revenue and more people engaged
What should I do in this case? Can hubpages help me in this regard. I have around 25 to 26 articles there.
    Thank u
    Blessings

      Hi GEMNITYA5,

      Greetings from California!

Are you asking about unpublishing your content from another site and placing the articles on HubPages? If so, you should follow our recommended procedure:

      1. Copy your content from the online source
      2. Unpublish the content
      3. Wait at least a few hours to see if the content is no longer indexed by Google and Yahoo. (You can also login to Google Webmaster Tools and request a removal of your Hub from Google's search results.)
      4. Copy your content onto HubPages and publish

Does this help? If there's something more I can help with, feel free to email me here.

Gemnitya, do you mean the other website WILL unpublish your articles, or they won't?   If they will unpublish your articles, then all you have to do is wait a week or two then you can publish them here.

If they say they will not unpublish them, then you need to look at their terms and conditions to see what your rights are. What is the name of the site?

Marisa, Yes, they do not want to unpublish my articles. But, those articles of mine were really helpful and was my contribution to that website, and, I was not being paid for them. And, I really want to publish them here on Hubpages, as they had good knowledge base and my hard work put in the writing. And, it would generate good audience and engange people to Hubpages. Is there any way out, so, I can rewrite my articles here. But, in a different way.
Sorry, I cannot disclose the name of the website due to T&C of the Hubpages.

Marisa Wrightposted 9 years agoin reply to this

There is nothing in the T&C of HubPages to prevent you revealing the name of the site.

What agreement did you agree to when you started writing on that other site?  Did you agree that they could keep your articles forever?

Marisa, Well, dear. I got a message not to share any external link in the post.
Dear, are you saying I'd not be able to re-write my same articles on hubpages.
Their is no such agreement, but, I had my psychic work contributions to that website and my articles were just to get more people and network to that site.
I think I should forget it to rewrite my same articles here. Am just following rules here on hubpages

You were advised wrong.  You can put external links on posts.  You cannot post links to your own website or your own Hubs.
