Still probs with hubs

Just when I though it was safe to get back into the water . . . .
I thought I was lucky because the images stayed put.  I buy images to suit what I am writing, but when the small ones get stretched more than they should be, and the bigger ones come up smaller than expected. . .well, how is one to keep up the quality of the display?

Then there are these odd bits of underline that I have removed again and again, to no avail.  It does not look neat and professional does it?

Was I too hasty in publishing?

Has anyone else found any of these problems with the photos and with the underlining ?

Images are huge when you click on the double arrow for placement. The are smaller when move to right of text box.  I have not seen the underlines yet!  Image size is a complaint by many of us

Hi #Linda, I have chosen the photos according to the space, but eg:the cartoon on capsule 1 is slightly fuzzy at the edges cause it made it bigger, while the image on capsule 3 is about 20-30% smaller than I had intended it to be.  I had actually planned another cartoon there, but the system was playing havoc with it.

I think the underlines are gone.  Thanks for all your help guys. X X X

I've never had the underline problem myself but I can see it in some of your hubs.  My struggle is with the images, and I'm a heavy user of images.  I seem to have to replace almost all of them so its taking me a very long time, so much so that I'm hesitating before I set about cleaning them up.

Thanks #Sheila for confirming what I see from my end.

I wonder how long these probs will go on for, and should we wait before we publish any more?  I have not been here long so I a bit lost about this.  What do you think #Sheila?

I haven't been here long either and I'm still trying to edit my hubs that were imported from Squidoo.  I'm finding I have to replace most of my images with ones that are a better size/shape.

One thing to try with your underlining problem:  delete not only the underlined portion but also one or two characters on either side.  Check that the underline symbol at the top of the text box has gone before you retype the characters.  Alternatively, select all the text, click on the underline symbol to turn on underlining, then click it again to turn it all off and then it should all disappear.

    Hope that helps.

Hi #Sheila, I think I've got it now.  I did exactly as you said, and I cannot see any more!  Allelujah.

      Thanks Heaps ,  Marie

Try clicking on the HTML button after clicking on Edit.  You might have a stray piece of code in there and removing it might solve your underline problem.  I'm not an expert in this department by any means, but I've had stray pieces of code count as full-blown links a few times (which took me over the 2-link limit).  Just a thought.

Marie, I am even "newbier" than you are. smile  But I did find that stray code was a problem in several of my hubs.
