Yes, it is ok to discuss brand names in your Hubs. As Millionaire Tips mentions, be sure to follow our product and spam guidelines. But there are certainly many instances where mentioning products or brands by name can be very useful and helpful to your readers.

mentioning brand names and products
I need a little help on the guidelines of mentioning specific products in an article. I am new at this and I don't really get how that works. For example, if I'm writing an article about cooking and it requires a crock pot do I mention or can I mention the brand I use at home?

Not disclosing earnings, impressions, etc baffles me!
