Report Button Glitch

Was looking over someone's hub and saw one of my images on there with no attribution, so tried to report it.  The report button choices didn't have what I wanted, so I chose other and when I would go to the box that opened up to write in the whole thing would disappear.

This happened several times.  I would like my picture off this hub, don't even want it there with attribution as I think the hub is spun also (not sure of this part).

I think you might be better reporting this in the Technical section http://hubpages.com/forum/category/3001 - they respond to bug reports.

      Hi Kathy,

If I'm understanding you right, it sounds like another Hubber has stolen an image from you here on HubPages. If so, you'll want to go here and file a copyright complaint with us to have the image removed, rather than reporting that Hub or Hubber.

Thanks Christy, I didn't know that.  However that still doesn't address the glitch I had with the report button smile

We haven't had any other reports of this problem, so it might have been a temporary glitch, but I'll check in with the Engineering Team anyway and let them know what happened to you.

May I ask what browser you were using when this happened?

sorry to hear that, your images should be watermark, then those people can't copy and paste into their hubs

Anyone can ask for a forum thread to be moved to a more appropriate forum by clicking the report button and choosing 'wrong forum topic' for the reason.  Scroll down and choose the technical problems category.  The moderators will move it if it fits the forum category.

Kathy: If you find copied content or images on hub pages, here is a link as to what to do    http://hubpages.com/help/copyright_infringement.

The report button is nuts, it moves when you try to scroll to hit the report button.  It has not gone away totally.  Scroll your page so that the little flag it almost out of sight.  Zoom you page to a smaller size so you can see the report button once you have made your selection.

I use Firefox and this happens for me with the report button when I scroll down the drop-down menu to a choice which is not showing because it is off the bottom of the page (this is worded awkwardly -- does it make sense?). If I click on the scroll bar to scroll down, the report box disappears. I didn't report this glitch, though, because I figured out that it works properly if I use the down arrow key instead of the scroll bar, or if I reduce the page/screen (Ctrl -) until the page is small enough that the entire report drop-down menu shows on the screen.

I'm still not sure if I'm making sense. Hopefully this helps.

That is exactly what you want to do when you make zoom smaller. It is not Firefox, it is HP.  It does the same thing to me and I use Chrome. You want to have the flag show, the drop down box show and the report button at the bottom to show.  Otherwise, you will be chasing it all day.

Yes, that is what I was trying to get across, thank you. I didn't mean to repeat what you'd already stated. It looks like we just replied at exactly the same time. smile
