Is it possible to put links without being overly promotional? thanks in advance amrita
If you do put links to another site, the limit is 2 .
Whether or not the hub is still viewed as overly promotional will depend on other things also, such as the over use of amazon and ebay capsules.
The learning centre has some useful info on this point.....

Thanks, after I put the post saw similar threads, have removed links with limit to two.
Creating a hub solely to promote another website is overly promotional. You will have problems.
yes Susana, creating informative articles and then subtle promotion of the website is ok I hope
If the link goes to a site that helps the reader and it is about the same subject, you can do it.
I wouldn't even use two links to the site unless it really helps to do so.
Barbara, thanks I used one link and yes it is relevant to the content.
You can add links that lead to other websites, but the out going links should not be more than two per url.
Also ensure that the contents of the external links are in accordance with hubpages and google adsense TOS.

I had a Hub published about two years ago. The score on it was 83 and it received fairly good traffic. I recently edited it to add some additional info and a website for that info. That made two external links related to my research. As soon as I edited the Hub, it went back...

My Take on Hub Pages. It's alright for them to take our content and just add whatever type of adds they want. Why? Because when someone reads ""our content"" and clicks on one of these adds, Hub Pages makes money. Yes you say, they share it with us. The Truth! Hub...
