I'm sure my cousin would love any updated photos, but if not, she is very touched to have the namesake. What are the Zazzle products?
I sell all kinds of products at Zazzle.com with my photos on them. I made a clock for KathyMcGraw with her namesake on it (the lamb on top of this post) and now I have to make one with a photo of her grandson's namesake on it. There are all kinds of products like keychains, stickers, cards, pillows and many more.
Finally, after waiting and waiting and waiting the last two lambs have been born this afternoon. Male twins and beautiful.
I decided to give Jayne Lancer lamb nr. 17 as a namesake and as this is a male too (can't help it, I've no control over that LOL) I named him Lancer.
For the last two males I searched the forum and found two male writers who now have a lamb as namesake, only they don't know it yet. I named them Smog (Tim Mitchell) and Quicksand. I'll send a message to both gentlemen to let them know.
Thank you, Titia! I look forward to seeing his photo.
Maybe you know, but Lance is a lovely name for a boy, although I think Lancer also sounds good.
No problem, we'll make it Lance and the photo is already there. Lamb #17.
I have to get better pictures but the bottle lambs won't get away from me the moment I show myself.
What a wonderful month you have had--- and, certainly, a lot of work still to do. Is this a record season for you? I have enjoyed learning about your sheep.
Thank you, and say "Hi" to Rochelle for me.
Yes, normally I don't have that many lambs, though last year was the top with in total 24 lambs, but that was due to the fact that all my ewes went to two other breeders because of my hip operation. This year I got a bit 'greedy' because I had acces to three beautiful rams.
In normal years I let about 8 ewes get pregnant by one or two ram(s).
There's no way I can keep all the lambs through winter this year, so I will sell some to other breeders. As for the rams, well not all rams will qualify for breeding, some of them will end up on mine or someone else's plate.
It's very difficult to keep a flock of adult rams of this breed, because eventually they could/will fight each other to death trying to get a higher place in the picking order, unless they can get far enough away from each other, which they can't in my meadows.
I need to get some photos of the lambs on the meadow, but it hasn't been the nicest weather overhere.

What are the funniest actual names you have ever heard? What are some truly awfully funny names you have ever heard. One of my favorites is Young Boozer. The only rule for answering this question is the name has to belong to a real person, no made up names please!

How do you pick names for your pets?We had some unusual names for our pets when I was a kid (my brother named one cat "Mody" because the cat sounded like its 'motor' was running when it purred. Any cute stories about pets' names in your household?
