I know we can completely change our hub titles but I wondered if the first title we used is still ours or any there after for that matter even though we changed it?

Yeah, i agree that once you changed the hub title, your hub title is free for another writer to use

      Hi Jackie,

As a few others have mentioned here, your URL is yours alone and can not be changed or re-used by another Hubber, however, your Hub's title can be changed whenever you want, and you do not have any particular exclusive claim to it. Hope that helps!

Thanks Christy, for confirming that our URL is ours and can not be used by anybody else.

So changing it then does not give us rights to "all" the titles we change to also?

That is correct, Jackie. While you have the exclusive right to your URL unless you choose to delete your Hub, other Hubbers may still use the same or similar titles.

You can change the title of your hub. Once you do this, another hubber can write a new hub with your old topic so far the link (URL) of the person's hub is not same with that of your present link. That is base on my own understanding.

We can change the whole title of a hub but not the URL of our hub. That is what I experienced. Even when I am still writing the summary capsule, the URL gets fixed according to the title I typed previously. If I think of some better title and want to change the URL, it does not allow any change once it gets fixed.
So, when URL is yours, how can anybody use it?

This is purely a guess, but I think that what you are limited to is not actually the title, but the URL.  So if you had one title (which was also the URL) and you changed the title, you can't use that URL again for another article.  I don't think that they check the actual title.

The URL is carved in stone - the only way to change that is to delete the entire hub, wait a week or so for it to be de-indexed from Google (to avoid being flagged for duplicated content) and then create a new hub. But - you might want to test your proposed new title, which will be the new URL, to make certain it's not already taken on HP.

As for the title, you can change that whenever you want, and as often as you want - but it should reflect the basic content of the original URL.  Google still sees the old URL in search engines (that's my understanding), and you don't want the search engines to filter it as being unrelated content.
