      Apart from the word "girly" I approve the concept here. Maybe you mean "girly man" like Schwarzenegger says! At least it covers both sexes!
      I don't bother responding to a lot of hubs or discussions as they are too trite. The world needs some serious thought, not how to bake another cake or narcisstic fixations on sexuality etc.

         Well, the word 'girly' is a metaphor. I have nothing for or against women. I'm cosmically neutral. All I know is that we are spirits and that's all.
         
         Men can be girly as much as women can be girly. And women can be manly as much as men can be manly. It's mostly a matter of attitude and doesn't relate to anything else. Godspeed!

      Since this is in the religious forums, I'll respond from that angle.
      
      Spirituality is, by nature, the softer side of the human psyche.  What we consider to be feminine is the softer side of humanity. So, religious threads will tend to be 'girly' more than 'manly'.
      
      Suggesting we can discuss saving the world and innocent animals through a religious discussion is (from my way of thinking) a 'girly idea'. But, I couldn't even begin to imagine an interesting 'manly' thread in the religion and philosophy section.

   I don't think men consider topics involving "saving the world" to be manning up exactly. Men like matters of deep political debate where they can issue forth logic and one-up-manship.

      yes.
      there is the process, there is the goal.
      I used to think that the process was the most important thing.
      But I recently realized that without the goal, the process is insignificant.
      So your result will depend on what you want the result to be: the goal.
      And the process to get you there should be real and trusted.
      Both bring you happiness.

       I agree, but as Kathryn has correctly noted, one person's idea of changing the world for the better is another person's idea of destroying it.
       
       How about we all start by not leaving all our lights on and walking places occasionally and not throwing garbage on the ground.  Surely everyone can agree that those things are productive at least?
