Do you regularly brush your teeth at bedtime? (With the assumption you do  brush  in the morning!) big_smile

I always brush and floss. Regular checkups and cleaning. Did you know that the health of your mouth is an indicator of your overall health, e.g., cardiovascular.

I brush my teeth 3 times a day. Plus I floss and massage my gums.
I use Listerine before and after brushing.
I am an R.N. and have treated some horrible tissue damaging infections caused by a human bite.
Humans have more deadly germs in their mouths than the animals.

Brushing your teeth before going to bed is extremely important.

You only have to brush the teeth you want to keep!
(I find they brush without being told smile )

I do not brush at night. tongue

I do brush after eating sometimes. But, I'm a floss freak. I keep flossers in my truck so I'm all set if I eat out.

Did you know that flossing daily increases your lifespan by two years?

      1. ftwells profile image60
ftwellsposted 14 years agoin reply to this

What is the underlying rationale for that? In short, how can flossing increase your lifespan by two years? Did a research study demonstrate this? Do you know who completed/sponsored the study?

Always brush and floss before bed -- don't think I could sleep if I didn't.

I brush my teeth in the mornings and before I go to bed. That feeling you get when you don't brush your teeth (You know the "My teeth are covered in moss" feeling?) grosses me out.

Yeah, we all do. My mom had a alarm set every night before going to bed (for the same time). So, when the alarm went off we knew we had to brush. She did this for about 6 months. After that it became sort of a habit. Now, we brush with out having to be told morning and night!! My whole family brushes around the same time and we do some small talk and it's all nice and fun.

I brush my teeth in the shower, that way I get a really good rinse, but my teeth still didn't fare well. I lost one of my back teeth recently. It just fell out, but I was told by the dentist that my very back molar was coming in sideways, and was digging a hole into that tooth, and trying to push it out of my mouth.

Yes. But it's not like I've never missed brushing at night ever.
