I've done this on a few hubs. Maybe it's a good idea because if someone does an image search, the photo with text relevant to the content of the hub can stand out amongst the competition.
What do you think?
I think you phone number can be traced. If you don't mind that. Well, go for it I guess.
I try to add text to all the first photos in my hubs. Then I Pin them. I'm pretty sure my traffic increased this way. : )
Doing this in ways that suit the image is great way to generate thousands of Pinterest visits
It seems like a reasonable idea as long as the image doesn't end up looking ugly and "tabloidy" - Then again "tabloid circulation" is the aim of the game!
I have done this for years with my first photo. I use Pickmonkey.com, which is free, and play around with wording and fonts to come up with something that reflects my content and also merges well with the photo. Check any of my hubs to see what I'm talking about. I do this strictly for Pinterest pinning, and I do get regular views as a result. Pickmonkey has a little bit of a learning curve, but it is really fun to use and you can make certain words stand out by size, color and font with it.
I'll have a look at your hubs. I normally use Paint Shop Pro for all my image manipulation and although probably the "Poor Man's" version of Photoshop, the vector text tools are quite good.
That probably will work as well. I'm a big fan of Picmonkey and use the free version. It offers lots of choices.
I prefer GIMP if I don't have PhotoShop.

How do I place an image into a paragraph of my article instead of separately, in between paragraphs? I used to be able to double-click on the image and it would set it that way.

The last time editors went through PetHelpful, they replaced some of my top images with new images with text on them, apparently to attract more social media shares. That was fine and I thought the editor did a good job. Now, they are going through and removing those images, replacing them with...

I have thought for some time that it would be a good idea to place edited hubs back on the feed. If they are going to be judged again, why not let them be seen again in their updated forms? This would give people more opportunities to get views (and maybe referral to social media)...

It seems my answers got lost in the last thread. So here is the simple way to get pins. Make an image like the one above (with your hub title), place it on your hub and leave it. That's it. It's simple. Using this technique I have over 30,000 pins on my hubs. Yes, it IS that simple, although I have...

I'm aware that many people who have take their own photos and added them to hubs have been unhappy about the "No watermarks" rule on Hubpages. There is a simple way around this - that should both protect your content, increase your traffic and not break the rules.Create a MADE FOR...

Hi all! As some of you may have noticed, we’ve begun changing all top images on PetHelpful to landscape orientation. This pushes more content “above the fold” on articles (especially on mobile devices, where we get the majority of our traffic), which should help keep readers on the page.We are also...
