Has anyone been unable to edit their articles?
This article is on wanderwisdom, and I have been locked out of it for at least 8 hours. I get a 404 message saying I can't edit it because an editor is working on it. I have always been able to access my hubs, even the ones that were being edited by the editors.. Is this something that I don't know about, or is there a glitch?
I would say have a little patience. It makes sense that two people can't be editing at the same time. Check back later and you may have access.
I have edited articles on niche sites, So i know it can be done. You may just need to wait awhile.
Thanks Rochelle. I guess I was thinking that even if an editor was working on it 8 hours ago, he or she would be done by now. So I was wondering if maybe others were experiencing some kind of glitch with editing their articles too. But, as you said I may just need to be patient.
If an editor is presently working on your hub, it may be locked so that you can't make changes at the same time. You should have received an email stating that this is happening. Check your spam folder and also make sure you have not opted out of receiving notices from HubPages in your Notification Settings. (Profile > Notification Settings)
Thanks a lot Glenn. I thought the same and checked my junk folders but found no notification that work is being, or would be done on any of my articles. I always receive mail from HP so I am pretty sure I haven't opted out.
Even so, would an editor be working on an article for upwards of 8 hours? Also, this is an article currently on a niche site, so it went through the editing process (upon acceptance). Is their a secondary process that I am unaware of?
I have received this message a time or two. It's no big deal. Once they finish and determine whether to keep or dump the hub from the niches, you'll be able to edit again. I always edit from the HP stats page and assume you do the same.
Editors have tons of hubs to edit, so they may possibly be doing one a bit at a time or asking for input from another editor. It's not ours to question how long they take..they'll get it done and you'll soon know the outcome.
Patience...patience....patience!
Ok. Thanks TT2, I sure hope this article is kept. It accounts for almost a third of the traffic that I do get.
It's currently being edited right now, but I will make sure the edit is closed out today and you will be able to edit it again. Thanks for your patience!

I know here at HP we are told that adding to and editing our high traffic articles is a good idea from time to time. What I am curious about is if that goes for hubs that have been moved to niche sites as well. If I edit something that has already been snipped and edited by staff and moved over...

I have an article that an editor has made substantial changes too. Including adding a bio that they wrote themselves. I have not seen an edit this bad in quite some time on one of my articles, and I do not want to go through the whole article and rewrite half of it. I've already spent countless...

If I have an article on HubPages.com is there a way to submit it to the HubPages editors, so they can determine if it qualifies for Discover.Hubpage.com?

I received an email that a new Hub is "eligible" for a niche site. But it suggests I need to proofread it before it can move over. I edited the article for readability and ran it through a spelling and grammar checker before I published it. After receiving the email, I reread it and ran...

Just curious, but does anyone have experience with this? How'd you do it? Did you tell Google the article moved somehow or do anything else fancy? Or did you just copy, paste, delete from HubPages, and wait for Google to catch up?Im guessing there might be some duplicate content penalties from...
