Forgiveness is better than Revenge?

   Sometimes you want to take revenge but you just ignore it or sometimes you just go for revenge.
   Which is the best option?

      Certainly if you can forgive then its much better and sometimes you save your relation by forgiving the wrongdoer.

   Hard to say in such a general sense. I find that most little things should be forgiven and let go.
   
   However, for certain things, or for patterns of poor treatment, you can forgive, but I wouldn't forget. If someone consistently belittles you, forgiveness mixed with common sense is probably the best remedy. Forgiveness can also be mixed with justice; you may forgive someone who robbed you while still wanting them to face appropriate legal punishment.
   
   But as a rule, yes, I think revenge is a poor idea that only fuels the flames. People usually don't mean to hurt others, they just do what's best for themselves without thinking of the negative repercussions on others.

      Thanks for giving brief explanation,we can forgive for little things but if someone has done more bad like killing or some other crime then definitely we would like to get justice.

   Forgiveness is not about the other person. It isn't about absolving them of their wrongdoings. It's about giving yourself peace of mind.
   
   Let's say someone borrows money off you, promises to pay it back, and then doesn't. You can fume about it all you like. Or when you see them, you can tell them you forgive them. That probably won't stop the inner resentment. Only when you truly let it go, when you can soothe yourself for feeling so crappy about it all, that's forgiveness. It's good for the soul.
   
   Revenge has its place, however. If you are in despair, then going up a step to anger and revenge is a good idea because at least you start taking your power back. Eventually, you can progress to hope and forgiveness. You can't get to forgiveness from despair, it's not possible. And you can't get to forgiveness if you are even considering revenge. Even if you say the words, they won't mean anything because you are not feeling it.
   
   Despair, anger and revenge are fear-based. Forgiveness is love.

      Thanks for such a profound comment dear, of course,forgiveness is better than revenge because when you forgive ,you feel an achievement of your soul from anger you felt and it purifies your soul.But if you can't forgive then you should go for revenge or justice which will give you a sense of victory.
      So justice and forgiveness are connected with one another as there is no peace without justice,and no justice without forgiveness.
      Th difference between justice and forgiveness is to be just to condemn the fault, and because of the fault,you condemn the doer as well.Forgiveness is to condemn the fault but to space the doer.
      Both have their own feeling of triumph,and whichever way you go,you just forgive at the end, as life has to move on,by forgiving you entrusts it to God,and He guarantees the right retribution.
