Hi Hubbers,
I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article How to improve your professional image (must be signed in to view). What can I do to improve? Thanks!
Did you get a notice of spammy content? It was probably because of the Amazon capsule. That book might be related to your hub but HP currently requires you to have a personal recommendation attached. If you have not used the book, and do not tell us why it was helpful in improving your personal behavior, you should not include the capsule.
(In your list of how to improve your professional behavior, buying and reading that book is not even listed. Why should I buy a book when you are making the suggestions here?)
Thanks DrMark, no notice of spammy content was received on latest review. This is the fourth time I have submitted it and last feedback was generic (no clues as to what is wrong). I would like to submit similar information and would like to perfect the style expected. Do you think the bullet points work against me? My article scored low on use of passive tone, however being a "self-help" article its inevitable. Are there any other changes I could make (besides deleting advert). I have realised including ads does not increase article quality (as I thought). I have downloaded tools to assist, however as you can tell, still very much stuck on this one piece.
I think the bullet points help.
There is so much competition, however, that maybe you want to title your article "Unprofessional behavior and how to stop it", or something like that. I say that because your first paragraph is about unprofessional behavior. (And maybe you can find a first image to highlight that new title?) If people are checking out your article, and do not find something helpful right away, they might just bounce out, which will make your placement in the search engines that much worse, and over time decrease any ranking that you have earned.
Are the paragraphs between "unprofessinal behavior" and "methods" really necessary? Can you work them into the methods, and make your article easier to read?
What is your word count? HP is looking for longer, more comprehensive articles. One hubber mentions she gets shorter articles passed by QAP, and then if they do well she starts adding relevant information.
Thanks for your input, I am going to make the changes suggested and re-submit. The word count is sitting at just over 1k. Hoping this will work, you are right though, with all the competition perhaps that's the reason it is not up to standard.
