Hi Hubbers,
I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article Rising prices in bitcoin associated with rising prices in litecoin (must be signed in to view). What can I do to improve? Thanks!
I suppose someone knowledgeable about bigcoins, etc. would understand what you are writing about, but this article would be too technical for the average reader.
You might better divide it up into separate and simpler articles. For example, tell people what a bitcoin is, it's history, what it is used for, how to trade it, etc.
Most of us have no idea about bitcoins, so this type of article would be much more helpful than the technical one you wrote.
Also, you need to tone down the language. Keep it simple and understandable.
I can't begin to pretend that I understand, from what you have written, a word of what cryptocurrencies are about and perhaps that may be one of things that's tripping you up. HubPages is for the general reader, perhaps that's me, so a simpler explanation, if one is available, would be helpful.
On more practical matters, you need to break up the large blocks of type with crisper, less complex sections.
More illustrations and videos would help.
Also, aren't Bitcoins and their ilk proper nouns deserving of capital initial letters?
I sort of disagree with the other reviewers. If people are looking for the in-depth info you are providing, it doesn't matter what the average reader thinks. In other words, if there is a market for your topic, then you should go as niche as you like.
HubPages is not a landing place for any readers... readers find your work via search engines, so there is no restriction on the depth of information a writer can provide.
Having said that, you should review your grammar and phrasing.
Rework your title as it is clumsy and not really seo-friendly. Put it into title case. Put your sub-titles into title case. Make sure your capitalization is correct. Bitcoin is a proper noun, as is Litecoin, so they will always begin with a capital letter.
Don't begin with 'Some individuals...' we don't know that this is a fact, or who these individuals are. Remember that your opening sentence is your one chance to grab your reader and 'Some individuals on the internet...' doesn't work.
You obviously know your stuff, but you also have to be a decent writer to get your work out there. Try to delete the waffle, the unnecessary verbiage, repetition, etc. You are presenting a complex topic, so you have to be as clear as you can be. Get rid of references to these hypothetical 'some people'.
Break up your paragraphs into shorter ones. Make use of bullet points. Try to reduce the word count by at least a third. Remember that most people are going to be reading your article on a phone, so your writing must be crisp and to the point.
Hope that helps.
