We have to just pick an arbitrary number. If you can serve in the armed forces you can vote. If you can get a drink at a bar you can vote. We can't base it on anything else, because let's face it,  if it was based upon intelligence we would have very few voters!

If you can feed and dress yourself, you should be allowed to vote.  If you can write your name on a piece of paper, you should be allowed to vote.  If you have a clear sense of right and wrong, you should be allowed to vote. If you can read, and understand, the basics of English, you should be allowed to vote.

I say the voting age should be lowered, TO FIVE.  That oughta throw a wrench into the electoral process!

First of all I personally believe the voting process in America is shall we say useless.  Most people understand the control of this country is not in the hands of the people.

If we are to take voting seriously we should look not only to voting age but the ability to make good rational decisions and that will be a major challenge for it seems like people would rather behave like children then to be the men and women others can look up to and follow their example.  We tailgate each other down our road ways, children can see road rage as they're riding by it, we cut people off frequently how does that show maturity?  It might be possible to lower the voting age since at times it seems hard to determine who's the adult and who's the child but we still need to put in place guidelines which say, being a moron isn't a good character trait for voting at any age.
