   Is there really a such thing as a sex addict?
   
   I dont believe people can be sex addicts. I think they just enjoy intimacy more than a normal person. Sex is a healthy thing especially if used in a protective way. It helps release built up hormones and frustration normally left with in due to not having sex. I dont believe something so wonderful can become a bad addiction.

   Sex addicts feel in there mind they need it. Honestly, being born sexual beings we don't need sex at all, but more want it. Sex addicts come in many different shapes and sizes, and also the methods of there addictions. Some are people who can't get off porn sites, other are people who can't go a day without having sex, and some are into other methods like Sexting and Phone Sex in order to fill there "need".

   Yes, if they have to constantly seek sex, beg for sex or even pay for sex. Then that person may have a problem. Sex is meant to be enjoyed but if you abuse that great feeling, it often ends up ruining all the fun out of it. Sex is not necessary to have, but it is fun to do it once in a while.

   A sex addict has similar signs as a drug addict. Sex is their drug.
   They will be preoccupied with sex. Constantly thinking and planning sexual encounters.
   
   Continue their behaviours in spite of  experiencing negative consequences as a result of sex relating to relationships, finances, legal, health etc.
   
   Loss of control of their behaviour eg.meeting their sexual desires without normal boundaries like privacy and discrimmination regarding sex partners.

   I absolutely believe there is such a thing.  My husband has recently confessed his extramarital sexcapades and we are dealing with this exact same issue.  Trust me, it is real and it is not easy to overcome. 
   
   Sex becomes addictive when it starts to control your life, when it becomes the most important thing in your life.  It begins to ruin intimate relationships and can lead to job loss, loss of family and also one's health.  It's not that they enjoy intimacy more than a normal person; it's that they become obsessed with it and need more and more of it to get the same rush that they used to get.

   yes, there is such a thing. sex itself is wholesome. but sex is twisted and this alternative addictive version is presented to the public as sex. therefore people are hooked onto this alternative version that includes disguised mind manipulation.
   
   look at this book. it describes the mind manipulations used in sexual presentations, and shows exactly how to free oneself from them.

   I can't understand if someone says they are a sex addict but doesn't have intercourse but instead has cybersex.  Is that the same?  Also what is a love addict?
