    Why is God great? Where do we base God's greatness?

    Do we base his greatness because we believe that he created everything? Or is he great based on his results as a supreme leader? What are his results?

    God is great because he create the earth and all living and non-living things within it.

    He great because He is everywhere. He knows every thoughts before it enters your mind. He is Alpha and Omega, beginning and the end.

    God is great because nothing is impossible to Him.

    Bizwiz, I would have to disagree.

    You have the same potential!

    Why is God great? He isn't because he doesn't exist.

    Where do we base God's greatness? Inside, contested scripture text which was purposely interpreted wrong, so monarchs can control the masses who don't know any better.

    My Dear Sweet Friends,

    God is Great because I Am That I Am!

    Love is the base of the Great I Am.
    Now, God being who and what I am, I mightest be this, or that or the other.  I mightest be anything or everything.  I Am That!
    This is the Greatness of God, because She/He Is That She/He Is!

    This is a simple question to answer. God is great because he is selfless. He places him self below all, so that all may rise. Let me explain...
    God is not some mystical fog floating through the universe. He is a actual person possessing great wisdom and power. He has power because he loves and accepts all things. He spoke and creation occured because all elements honor God because he speaks nothing ill. He still speaks and the universe expands as he dictates. God knows the end from the beginning. He knows where we will end up, but allows us still to live our lives without destroying our hopes.
    God does not have us worship him out of vanity. His speech is so refined and our reception is so cluttered that he needs us to concentrate to hear his words--so he asks us to pray. With that focus he can send us words, feelings, promptings if we purify ourselves. He does not give us commandments because he is a usurper of power. He knows that following the basic commands that he gives will lead to freedom from the bondage of sin. Sin corrupts our mind or taints our thinking.
    God is great because he promised us that we can have all that he does now have. That is a loaded promise. We may have all that he has and have all knowledge and power with him if we endure our life well. What is he promising us then? What does he own? Think about it.
    God is great because he really is the father of our spirits and we are truly all brothers and sisters. What good dad could be anything other than great.

    God is great because He is selfless, and is quite literally, Love. He didn't have to create the world, or us, but He did, and He continually loves all of us no matter what.

    As we know, the truth is in Bible. And it says that only God is objectively Happy. Thus, God knows everything. God can do anything. God is the strongest in the Universe. God can distance the bad from Himself and attract the good. Therefore, to reach untroubled life we have to remove four main reasons of sufferings from our life. Here they are:
    1)    a lack of knowledge:
    2)    limited resource;
    3)    the conflict of interests;
    4)    an inability to select your environment.
    You can not remove from your life four major causes of suffering - that's the difference between you and God!!!
