   I would not take my child to a school that uses corporal punishment. I believe parents should have the right to smack their children (below the neck) when they misbehave, if positive reinforcement is not found to be useful.
   
   I draw the line at letting teachers hit students. For a start, you are not there to supervise this. You need to place a lot of trust in your child's teacher, and hope s/he would not take it too far. Also, there are teachers out there who would use corporal punishment excessively. I wouldn't risk letting my child be in an environment where s/he could get physically punished by someone other than myself.

   I am the parent of twin boys and a daughter.  When our boys started to grade school in 1969 I went to the school and spoke with the Principal.  I told him that should my boys come home bragging about what they got away with with no punishment - I would be down to see him.  I told him that my kids were his kids when they were in school.  He had both mine and my wife's permission to spank them as discipline. We told him to use his god-given sense to correct our children. We would not question his judgment!

   Absolutely not. It is surely disruptive to others and can be confusing to the child. So does that mean that teachers play the parents role? Not a good idea. So, does that mean that coaches should too? Teachers would be more useful in the classroom by helping the children develop and understand why it is important not to hit. Who would take their child to a school like that uses Corporal Punishment? Thats the question I would would like to know. It would be clear to me that parenting skills would be the best situation there. Seriously, are those parents who choose for their children to go to schools like that actually expecting the child to recieve a quality education. As a teacher for many years, I can pretty easily tell when a child has been hit at home by the way that he behaves in class. From a teachers point a view, it takes a long time to undo the problems that children come to school with. Then, if you care as much as I do for my students, just trying to keep them motivated and interested in learning~ is a project in in itself. Children must get an education from somewhere and hopefully they can achieve one at school with a good teacher. Teachers are not paid for what they do but they care for the most part and that part is true. I can not even imagine hitting a child as a teacher. Geez, I think its more along the subject of "control" or "controlling" wouldn't you agree? Hope this will be of help to those thinking of enrolling their child next year in a school such as that.

   Hell No. I don't spank my kid. Why should anyone else? If someone touched my kid as to hit them. I would break their arms and legs.
