My boyfriend and I broke up 3 weeks ago, he is 40 and i am 44.  The reason he gave me was...

because of mood swings and drama.  We have been friends for 23 years and now he wont even speak to me.  I want him back, what do i do?

It sounds like you need to grow up and get rid of your dependence on this person. If you are having lots of mood swings and drama, you might need to have your hormones balanced.
Perhaps if you change and become a better person, he will want to be friends with you again. All you can do is be a better person.

You should tell him that you are sorry about all the drama.

    I'd say forget it.

You both have a lot of history and at your age baggage.  Now maybe your drama reminded him of a past bad relationship...which is why you are now person non grata.

Sometimes you can't 'fix' something you did to yourself.  Just move on, learn from the experience, so that next time, you won't mess up a good thing.

You broke up three weeks ago and now he is giving you the silent treatment. I would leave him alone (shock him by giving him the silent treatment in return) and he may think things through and realise what he's missing. If not, it may take you some time to work through your emotions about it since you've known him for so long.

Thank you for the feed back.  In response to the therapy issue, i already am going and found that i do have a chemical imbalance and am on something for that.  As far as the drama issue, he was referring to things that happened 6 months to a year ago (nothing recent).
