I have these dreams that come true. My mother says it's a gift from God. What do you think?

For instance... Had a dream about my cousins girlfriend dying. She lost her baby a few weeks later. Another Example: Had a dream i thought my mother had left and started doing drugs again and I was furious when the only thing she'd done was gotten a tattoo. In real life she went off and I thought the same thing, but in actuality she had gotten a nose piercing and found a safety net no drugs involved. There are many others but I cant explain too much.

Great gift! My sister, thank God also for the power to cause changes already in you by His Word. Your continued prayer of intercession for your loved ones will avail much to cause a glorious change to the glory of God in Jesus Name, Amen. Nurture and grow it by His Word.

It seems in both examples that you felt something unearthly touch the lives of the individuals involved but that your mind in perceiving the problem blew it out of proportion.  Controlling such a reaction is probably impossible but sensing intrusions from beyond the veil isn't impossible but rather very possible.  It isn't a fun gift as gifts of the spirit are concerned but with Father's help you can write down what your subconscious noted in a journal you keep by the bed and see if you can't make your conscious mind see reason when the actual event happens. It might help you sleep better.  You also might pray for a way to know if there is anything you should do about the senses of intrusion.  Once I have excepted a gift I have never been without divine guidance on how to use it.

Thanks. Both of your answers are helpful. @ jaggedfrost: everything happens after the dreams, that's what gets me.

Is it true that if you dream about someone that they are thinking about you.It seems in both examples that you felt something unearthly touch the lives of the individuals involved but that your mind in perceiving the problem blew it out of proportion. I have been dreaming dreams that come true since I could remember. From as young as 7 years old.

People who dream dreams that come true are very common; since before antiquity.

I dream dreams every week that come true in some form and I've dreamed dreams that have come true as many as 23 years later.

The better question is "if you were dreaming these dreams before you believed in Jesus how can your dreams be a gift from God?"

Also.  "If you don't believe in God and are dreaming dreams that come true does that mean your dreams are from Satan.?"

Trust your Mother... she knows you better than you do ... it includes, her knowing, what, and why, you think and dream.

Some dreams do come from God. Look in your Bible do they coincide with His word?

If not be careful they could also be from your subconcious or Satan.

There is fair documentation of this phenomenon available quite widely on the net.  I feel that this article portrays an unbiased point-of-view that you may find interesting at the very least:

I have dreams that come true. But they tend to be pretty direct. I see myself in the situation and later it happens exactly as I saw it in my dream. Most of them have been seeing myself at a job I didn't have at the time. Maybe your dreams are at least part intuition.

I don't believe in god, heaven or hell. So I can't say about dreams being a gift, that's a personal choice.
