They most definitely can, I've got a good female friend, but she is a lesbian so that kinda goes against the point. But I have in the past, I think usually one side is attracted to the other and not vice versa. But if you are willing to say 'we are just friends' and keep it that way I don't see why not...
dream wilder. it is possible! as long as you both know all your boundaries and limits. you dont have to have sex just to be close. would you? lol
in some point in my life that i know for sure that things goes out well without the pressure of sex. just full control of your own self is the best way to do that.
One of my best friends is male and he's not gay. He will go shopping with me. He will be silly and he never cares about how I'm dressed. So, yes, you can be friends with the opposite sex as long as both of you are comfortable with it.
These are all great answers thanks for it all. I believe most the time one or the other may think about it. A lot of times friends can trick themselves into thinking they should be doing more.
Certainly, in the same way that you can be friends with people of the same (or "unpreferred") sex and be close. Most of my friends are male, many have been close friends for most of my life...we can confide in each other, have great times hanging out together, and have endless hours of discussion. We've never had sex, or gotten close, and I only know of a couple of them who ever had a crush on me...yet were still able to continue the friendship when that wasn't reciprocated. Today, I am on good terms with their wives (though I don't get along with other women as well, most of the time) and they value my husband's input into the conversation as much as they value mine. My husband knows the nature of these friendships and is very secure with them, and doesn't have any problem with me going for "social beverages" with these male friends late at night when he's already gone to bed because he knows that nothing untoward will ever happen.
For sure they can, but the problem is the 'men', quite sincerely.
They seem to never have the same amount of loyalty with women that they have with men, not mattering what sort of relationship we talk about.
All those men I took for granted were best mates of mine in life have intentionally ruined all of it, including my body, giving me not even a fighting chance.
Pls see hubpages.com/profile/MARIAMORTA to become my friend and help me dying with justice and in freedom, like normal human beings do. Rush, see page on 'how to help first'.
well i don't think so, sex will make the friendship more deeper and both of them will start sharing everything.

Can a man and a woman truly be just friendsI saw a video recently, where someone went out filming young men and women, asking this question. Without fail, all the girls answered yes and the boys answered no. However, when the girls were asked if their male friends would want to be intimate with...
