If you are a photographer, are you a Canon or Nikon user or other?

And why did you choose that brand?

Sadly my camera is well out of date and is only 4MP.

It's A Fuji Finepix with a 10X optical zoom, which was why I bought it.
It's good but I'd really love to have 10MP or greater resolution.

I also have a Nikon FE10 35mm SLR, but I rarely use it anymore.

I am a canon user.  I have a Rebel XTI ~  I love my camera, and I love canon, they have some of the greatest products.  I also have their 300mm zoom lens, and 100mm macro lens.  Both of which I am very pleased!

Other - Shen Hao 5x4 field  camera and a Bronica ETRS, both film cameras.  I chose them because I prefer film.

I am a Canon user, and found it to have very fast shutter speed.  I am talking about the SLRs where most professional media photographers prefer (I was told), whereas for compacts, I prefer the Nikon - I have a S8000, which 14mega pixels, found the zoom and picture stability to be better than other brands, but still, the compacts are not near the SLRs, unfortunately.

Canon 40D which is my 5th Canon. In my opinion Canon has eclipsed Nikon.

I've had the pleasure of working for and owning both Canon and Nikon Cameras. I would say its all down to preference, and mine, for professional photography, it has to be Nikon. But thats because I prefer how the AF works, I prefer the algorithms that the sensor uses.

You can see this demonstrated at http://www.oskarbi.co.uk
try it soon as it will soon be updated as the domain name for a friend's quality management traning company.
