How do you promote your web pages?
I'm not talking about you on hubpages, but your own blog about something, or website where you sell something? How do you get free traffic?
Start by making sure your site is optimized for search engines (SEO). There are lots of hubs on SEO, including a few by me, so I won't go into detail about it here. Suffice it to say that you need to be sure the search engines see your site as relevant for relevant phrases when people search for them, that way you'll get traffic from search engines.
Including a link to your website here on HubPages and other similar sites is one way to both help with SEO and get the word out about your site. You can also find Web directories; if you are a business, you can claim your Local Business Listing from Google, and add yourself to Yelp, Merchant Circle, and other local business directories. Another great way to get noticed is to guest blog on other related websites. Finally, as long as you aren't spammy about it, you can promote your blog posts and products through social media like Twitter and Facebook.
There's no one quick magic solution, but rather a lot of little efforts that add up to traffic. Good luck to you!
You need to get your site listed on a search engine. There are many ways to do this. I like using software that does most of the work for me.
Just as you type in the word or information that you are looking so do others and if they are looking for what information you have and you are listed on a search engine then you will get free traffic.
I have found several really good software programs that aren't expensive and do a great job.
I will post some links in this answer for you. You can also go to my hubs and read more about each program before going to the website's.
Here are some links you can check out and see if they will work for you.
