    I wanted a camera for my birthday and didn't get it .. should I be mad?

    I turned 40 on the 1st of Dec .. back in June, I told my kids what I wanted for my birthday .. six month notice ... I didn't get it!  Did I set myself up for disappointment?

    Do you always feel that you should be mad when you don't get what you want; such a greedy, hard life, full of suffering.
    Accept, graciously, gifts that others have taken the trouble to give you out of their love for you.

    Sir/Ma'am,

    I'm sorry but throwing tantrums for not getting the gift one wants is reserved for 4 year olds.

    This should not even be an issue for mature folks.

    Don't get upset at this age. I think they are too little to bear the cost. I hope, if they love you, they will positively keep it mind and give surprise on  any of your coming birthdays.
