do you think Bush helped the U.S. in the world stage or did he hurt?
i mean as a whole. i don't care if he did something good but rather what did his term as president do to the U.S. in the views of the world?
Does this question even require an answer? Shameful at best.
Santi,
W. Bush opened a black hole that threatens to suck the entire US, economy and all.
He did a great deal of damage. The reason is, most people of the world believe that the US went into Iraq for oil. We have McCain on video saying we went into Iraq for oil. He was running as the Republican Party presidential candidate when he said it.
Bush believed in torture, invasion for oil, and more war crimes I won't even mention here.
Whatever moral authority America had in the world was wiped away by Bush. Extraordinary rendition (kidnapping people), secret prisons outside the US, water boarding, imprisonment without trial, Guantanamo and extra-judiciary execution (by unmanned aerial vehicle) - all of this has contributed to a world view that sees America as despotic and the greatest threat to world peace. Certain factions within the United States elite want a war to decide who is going to control the flow of oil - the world is not stupid - every move America makes is evaluated with this in mind.
I think Bush (both of them) were among the biggest disasters in Earth's history.
Definitely the son was waste of space on the planet who brought much pain and suffering to many for no just reason.
I voted all of the answers below up, because I can, and because they are all correct.
He did hurt us.
He was told on August 6th 2001 by CIA, that Osama Bin Ladin was planning to planes to crash into building in US. He ignored this and went for his vacation which lasted for several weeks. He did not do anything about it.
He gave tax breaks to the rich, which took us from budget surplus to a record budget deficit. Then came the financial crisis.
He was wanted to invade Iraq long before 9/11. Iraq is not responsible for 9/11 nor did they have WMD.. He was a failure in running Iraq after the invasion.
To symbolize how the world looked at him, just watch the video clip where he had to pull a stunt to dodge shoes that came flying towards him.
That's easy. He is the one that started the downfall in my opinion. I'm not saying Obama is great but damn, Bush seriously jacked up our whole way of thinking. Invading countries based on proven lies. Now that is serious although the U.S. has done this before Bush. Obama>Bush

I personally believe that invading Iraq was imperative. We had to take the war to Al Qaida and keep them occupied in the Middle East. Will we transform this ancient land into a Western form of democracy. I doubt it. However, we have rid the world of a cruel dictator, Saddam Hussein. What do you...
