   -Many believe the world will end in 2012. I think this is ridiculous.
   
   
   -Here is my main reason for believing the world will not end in 2012 or any "predicted" year. There is no way to predict the end of the world when we don't know the beginning of the world. All we have are estimates. Do we have a year? Why would we have a end date if we don't have a beginning date?

   I totally agree with you. It was just like the huge Y2K bug scare. Can't predict things like that or the end of the world. It's just theories based on what? Things men have said?

   Ever since I was old enough to read newspapers, at the age of 8 or 9 (I had an advanced reading age) I have been reading about groups of people that believe the world will end on a certain date. All of varied theories.
   
   The last diary dates for about 11 devastating comets, 4 mysterious explosions, 2 diseases that will make us extinct, 1 rise of the devil and 1 flooding by god......well, I seem to have missed them all.

   Personally, I'm not losing sleep over it. And if I'm wrong, then I'm as buggered as everyone else.

      1 thing I believe about prophecy. If everyone in the world wrote an individual idea of what they believe could happen in the future, theres a pretty good chance 1 would come true.

   Very Pleased to live in NZ..
   
   NZ is close to the edge of the earth.
   We get see a lot of things the rest of the world doesn't.
   
   Given the fear that some have that the end of the earth will be in 2012.... I think it's fair to tell everyone that a syndicate of kiwis are building a stadium near the edge... And are soon to be selling tickets for those who want to see the masses fall off the earth!!

    The world didn't end when we went from BC to AD. There may be something about what the Mayan's knew, maybe it will be some kind of revelation in our way of thinking. Dec 21, 2012 will sure be an interesting day, if that date is correct.

    lol Hey that's my second language. I sucked at Spanish, even though my Nana and Tata may they rest in peace tried spoke spanish to me. Just didn't click. SO while in HS I took college classes in American Sign Languae. Of course I only remember a bit BUT I do remember the curse words LMAO
    
    So yea that would peobably be me getting us into trouble with the aliens by using sign hehehe oops.

    I think they have set the date of the birth of the universe something like 3.5 billion years ago. Can't remember for sure, but they do know when it all started now with the big bang, or at least the last big bang. Some believe there were previous big bangs as well as parallel universes. I am so confused! I may have to go hide in the ocean depths come Dec. 2012 LOL

    The world will end in the future, but not in 2012, although it will feel like it is ending. We do know the begining of the earth, and the end, but dont confuse the words "World" and "Earth" both have beginings and ends and the two are not at the same time.

    i agree with you COMPLETELY! No one has technology advaanced enough to predict the end of the world. Everyone talks about how many dooms day predictions have been right but so many more have been wrong! People say it's going to end because of global warming. The world has actually been in a cooling phase since 1998 Come on people get your facts straight!!!!
