What is that one thing you regret the most?
(Not trying out for cheerleading in college. I got all the way to the gym doors and turned away.. frightened of failure.)
Not doing anything in highschool, I was not apart of any sports or clubs.
Well...You asked! My biggest regret is having married my ex-wife. Other than that, I'd say that I don't have too many regrets.
Good question!
There are a few things that come to mind. When I was in high school, a young man that I did not like invited me to Grad Night (spending all night at Disneyland in CA) and I went with him anyway. I acted like a complete a$$. I treated him terribly, I was rude, and sullen and just plain nasty. I didn't want to be there and I let him know it. I have always thought of that with great regret that I was so selfish I couldn't for one minute think about how he felt. Sorry Mark from the bottom of my heart!
Marrying my ex-husband. It was the biggest mistake of my life.
Putting trust in people that were not truly trustworthy. Disappointments are life's lessons.
Going to university. My degree isn't getting me into jobs and its preventing me from getting an entry level position due to being overqualified. I have thoroughly enjoyed my education but I can't help but think I'd be doing better if I did an apprenticeship. There is a lot to be said for going straight into work after school.
loss of my first maridge,... he wanted a divorce, and after years of trying hard to give him what he wanted, i gave him the divorce,.. i should have fought tooth and nail,... it just wasnt in me to figt him.
dont get me wrong, i've found myself as they say, i'm a better more well rounded person since then...... but,.... i will always mourn the loss of our life together,... i'm glad of the person i have become, but i miss what once was,... and i'm afraid i always will,... like burying a loved one,... without the stone.
all other things in life seem trivial compared to that,.... i never got the band together, i didnt leave my home town,... all trivialities,.... because i lost us.
At the risk of being redundant, marrying my ex-husband. My life would've been so very different.
I don't want to sound all philosophical here.. but I want so badly to regret a handful of things that steered my life in a completely different direction each time they hit.. but something in me won't allow it. I love this person I have become, and without the crap of the past my life wouldn't be as such. So... as much as I want to regret my terrible ex, a $32,000 financial mistake, and the way I handled my first years of education...I wouldn't change anything.
Spending too much money on casino Gambling, even if I only do it once a year. That's why I want to design and run my own casino game. So, more people actually have a chance of winning.
Not that it's something that I regret the most, but when I was 23 I regret not having the courage to ask the guy if he liked me,too. He was just too tight-lipped but his actions spoke volumes. Since, I didn't want to be straight-forward in case I was wrong,I did not ask him. Only to find out later on that he too loved me and was just afraid that he will lose me as a friend. Now we are 29 and we are still friends but it's too late, he has someone else already.Good thing though that I don't love him anymore. It just make me sigh thinking of what could have been.
I tolerated my Ex bf with his bad attitude. I broke up with him he deserved it.
Not spending more of my life telling others about the Love of Christ. I thought I was incompetent and that no one would listen to me during my high school career, but then I see freshmen making a difference in my life as a Senior by the way they live.
