Does a strong mind require life to be challenging ?

what I mean is that if a person has an easy life, will their mind be weaker when life does challenge them?

Good question, but do you determine your strength by the challenges you conquer? If so, then having challenges to over come will bring you a sense of that 'strong man'. Either way, over coming challenges will always bring that sense of accomplishment, but I would dare say that it is not the determining factor for your strength.

I'm assuming we are talking strength of the mind and heart? If so, then your strength is determined by the ability to make conscious decisions without allowing your emotions to do the deciding for you. The ability to be ready to over come said challenges, and do whats right, even if the most influential person in your life tries to convince you otherwise.

And most importantly, the ability to change yourself for the better. No one is perfect, but we should always strive to be a better man, woman, spouse, parent, sibling, etc. The only thing in your way of that is obviously you, but to jump the hurdle that is yourself and to let go those fears will truly determine those strengths.

On a personal note, my wife and I did the Love Dare. I recommend it for anyone wanting to be a better spouse, but it touches on so much more than that. Its basically a 40day step on how to show a love that stems from your consciousness and not one that is effected by your day to day emotions.

Good luck, God bless, and I hope this helps!

I don't think they would be less intellegent, you mind is what you feed it. Though I would say that I think a life with no challenges would be boring.

Life is challenging in the world we all live in today whether you have a strong mind or not.I think a stronger mind demands more of life and attracts bigger challenges by having bigger dreams and higher expectations.

I'm no expert but maybe a strong mind comes from the ability to make connections (between different kinds of information). By staying in your confort zone, you mind has less of a chance to create meaningful connections. Just like mcrawford76 said, it would be a bit boring to only have it easy.

Still, there are ways to lead a stress-free life and yet be challenged. You can read, play different games, paint, write, meet new people etc. Each of these activities brings new knowledge by stimulating your creativity.
In the end, you decide on your own just how big a challenge you want to face.

Most challenges in life require a strong body, not a strong mind. A strong mind is the privalege of those who have enough money to afford a good education and can avoid manual labor for the remainder of their existence.

Strength of the mind is the result of a person's beliefs, values and integrity. Although intelligence can make the mind stronger, someone who is considered unintelligent can have just as strong a mind as a genius. It's all about core values. A strong mind has the ability to make difficult decisions based solely on their values and integrity no matter what the consequences. What's difficult for one person may be extremely easy for another, so this is a difficult question because everything is relative.
