   How do you think we should teach history to prevent more killing in the future?
   
   Memory alone does not prevent more killing. Getting the numbers right is not enough. History is not enough, but it is all we have. Let us be aware that historians have barely begun to understand the events of the past mid-century in mid-Europe. The regimes turned people into numbers. Whenever possible we should turn them back into men, women and children, to give them lives as well as fates so the lessons from the history stay clearly in our thoughts and hearts and we can pass them to our future generations, but can we, do they really learn, are we able to learn from the mistakes from the past

   We should teach history openly, and honestly, leaving nothing out to make our nations appear in a better light.  History in schools is still used as a propaganda tool, and the countries that we fought against are called 'the enemy'.  In History classes our mistakes should be acknowledged as well as our successes, and the atrocities that were committed on our behalf should be talked about also.  Too much of history is hidden.

   We should teach the truth rather than the garbage being taught that paints the western world as heroic. We're not, we're the problem.

   I can only pray, it could be so ... that The Cursed, from among the humans, would learn from History ...
   
   That all humans could rise above petty Prejudices ... False Religious Dogmas ... their covetous Clergy's abrasive teachings ... and stop making lists of desirable murderings, while in adversity ... and abstain from cold blooded murdering of the listed ... when in prosperity.
   
   Cold Blooded, Open, or Secret Murderings, and Killings... Rekindle the Fires of Vendettas, that have no end ... Thats what, Cane did ... when he killed Abel ... thats what, those Hitler philosophically killed, now think ... when Murdering.
   
   History, is not the Ideal Version of Truth ... but the Winner's stating of his version, of Reality ... it could be from a Moral, a racial, or a Religious High Ground ... or all combined, in Rationalizing the perpetrated Mayhem.
   
   But there can be no Peace in the World, Except, by our Forgetting, and Forgiving ... Simultaneously, Sincerely and,Truly... But reckon, I am being Idealistic ...
   
   For this cannot be ... we have to wait ... The Ordained ... patiently ... For the Second Coming of Jesus, the Christ, son of Blessed Mary, to rid us of these nefarious ones ...
   
   Peace be Upon Jesus, The God Ordained, Christ, Redeemer of Humankind ...
   And Then, await The Final Judgment, when the mischief mongers Shall be Consigned to Hell ... for Eternity.

   To teach how it was wrong and how this war could have been prevented. Instead of teaching this is how we one. And who won against who. When you teach who won against who or how they one it seems to put a real negative spin on the loser. Making them out to be bad, where in reality both parties are still killing one another.

   I think we should concentrate on the US wars and the issues that led to them.  Many points in our history have repeated common themes.  It's important to understand the similarities and differences. 
   
   The same goes with cultures.  I think it's important for students to be taught that most religious organizations teach the same basic principles:  Golden Rule.
   
   In my education, we spent SO MUCH time on the colonization and early years that we never got to the 20th century!  Ever!
