   Where do you shop for children's clothing ?
   
   When shopping for children's clothing, do you shop yard sales and thrift stores,  or do you shop lower priced or discount department stores, or do you shop for designer labels at boutiques, malls etc.  ?

   You can always go to the malls and search for the children section. This is a better and safer way to order clothes for kids.

   One of my favorite places to shop for kids' clothes is the sale rack at Old Navy (or at an Old Navy outlet), or the sale rack at Target - you can get some really amazing deals! Generally speaking, I try to buy children's clothing on sale as much as possible, since kids do tend to ruin and/or outgrow their clothing faster than adults! I also really encourage people to "hand down" clothes their kids grow out of to other families - to cousins, siblings, etc, if there are any, or to neighbors, friends, community members in need, etc - doing the "reuse" part of reduce/reuse/recycle.

   I shop all over!  I've bought at boutiques, department stores, chain stores, discount stores, yard sales, consignment shops, and thrift stores.  If it's good quality at an affordable price -- and cute, and CLEAN I'll take it!
   
   I especially like stores like TJ Maxx, Ross, Marshalls and Tuesday Mornings -- where you can find top-of-the-line clothesmakers for less than "big box store" and even, sometimes less than thrift stores!  I bought a $119 dress at Ross for $7 -- I've bought brand new clothes at some stores for as little as 35 cents for a shirt!

   I found my baby skipped size 00 all together, since she grew so fast, and missed out on getting to wear the designer label clothes I bought her at boutiques and specialty baby shops, so ever since I've bought her clothes from department stores.  Mainly Target here in Australia as they give the promise that their childrens clothes will last until your child outgrows them.  In any case their baby clothes are practical, fun and inexpensive.

   I prefer consignment shops and outlet malls.  Friends with children who are a little older than mine help as well.  Yard sales are also an option.  As fast as my daughter grows, I cannot see the reasoning in buying expensive clothes that she may get to wear one or two times before she outgrows them.

   I shop online - there are great deals to be had and so many different childrens brands out there so children can be more uniquely dress.
