For couples with young children, do you still get to have date nights? How often?
Yes, but very few and far between. Maybe every four to six months!
No, we don't. But it is because we don't really feel a need to go out by ourselves. We are not a very young couple and we had our share of date nights before kids were born. What is nice is a glass of wine after the kids are in their bed and just us together enjoying our free time in the evening. Obviously we are not very adventurous types :-)
We make it a special point to have date nights on the anniversary of the day we started dating, every month. It's important for us to keep up the romance, now that we are parents. We have to remind ourselves that we were a couple first, and put the effort in to keep the romance alive.
