   The level of ignorance continues to be on the rise and the fact that those with wealth, continue to dumb down the rest of society, regardless of what country they are in.

   Powerful countries bullying smaller ones like what China is doing to the Philippines in the Spratlys Islands. There's more but that's what's worrying me most as of the moment.

   All these answers I agree with but what i am so concerned with is the amount of child pornography and pedophiles groups there are in the world today. There are actual tour groups just for men looking for children in third world countries. i guess modern day trafficking (slavery) is appalling if the news outlets  showed all the arrests going on.

   The growing loss of a sense of community, nowadays it's more and more about "each one for himself/herself" and "what's in it for me." I hope I'm wrong though.

   I think the worse thing that is going on (That concerns me) in this world is it has become an "I" world. The politics is an "I" world. Religious world is an "I" world.
   
   Everything is about "I" instead of we and true Humanity for others.
   
   The common question that an individual ask themselves is "How does it affect me???" and if an affect cannot be seen then the issue is ignored.
   
   The world is crumbling because everybody has narrow vision and only can see things that affect them, rather than looking in a wider view to see how the here and now will affect our children and the generations to follow them.

    Apart from the environment and terrorism I'm p'd by the amount of people in 'high' places constantly being caught having their grubby fingers in the public money pots and taking what they like for their own personal use - like trips abroad using tax payers money. These are the same creeps who go around shouting about what other people are doing wrong and what everything costs???
    
    More importantly I also agree with Stacie L about pedophiles and BreakingUp about bullies.

    I am concerned about us doing almost everything to seek for satisfaction. We fail to realize that we are filling a bottomless cup by doing so. True satisfaction and happiness is not earthly.

    What is concerning me is all the naturl disasters, protests against government regimes that turn into bloodshed. Every single week i hear in the news hundreds and hundreds of people dying due to protests, random killings and natural disasters. Floods in some parts of the world like Philipines recently, the Norway shootings and over 140 people shot dead in Syria just for protesting against government regimes. There are people dying every day in Somalia because of the draught.
    
    It is a very sad time we are going through, and in most cases cannot do anything about. We can only help people in situations like the people in Somalia and Philipines by donating money to charities who are working very hard to help these people. I hope God helps all these people in distress.
