   Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I, as a white man, can marry an Indian woman?
   
     I LOVE Indian women with a passion!!  I have a personals ad on shaadi.com (my userid is frencharmyguy)?  But it seems most Indian woman that I have run into won't even consider me since I am white.  Also, most women on shaadi are not Christian but Hindu, so is religion a big factor?

   First off your reason for dating is all wrong.  You dont date people because of what nationality they are.  You date and get to know someone regardless of the race they are.  Sounds like a personal possession rather than a person.  That would be the first turn off I would think.

   No, I just like Indian women because all the ones I met are humble, kind, and loyal.  Also they are very beautiful.  It's just a personal preference, that's all, it has nothing to do with "possession" (where did THAT come from?  I date women that I am attracted to, what's wrong with being attracted to Indian women?)

   I believe strongly that religion is a huge factor.  I would say goodluck and stop looking for love so fervently and it will come and find you when you least expect it so work on yourself and be ready.

   Love conquers all. Despite all your differences in religion or beliefs, it is still depends on your desire to find and love the right woman for you. I'm sure there were some who wouldn't consider you because you're white but it is not applicable for all. And there were Indian women who don't consider any requirement for love.

   Indian women are very emotional and highly value oriented. They take every relationship seriously. So if you're dating an Indian woman make sure its not a short-term fling and don't break her heart.

   You frighten me. Make sure you understand the customs and rituals. make sure this is not just a hobby. You are entering a ethnic group that puts their families first. Esp. Parents and grandparents. Be sure you understand that when your future inlaws get sick or come visit, they will live with you for several months. You can't send them to a hotel. Be sure you understand the rank and protocal of the indian customs. You have to be the one to assimilate.
   I would be very suspicious. Are you successful and a doctor or engineer. many pride education and are class conscious. Hope this helps.

   Anyhow being an Indian will try to give few tips :
   
   1. Religion is a huge factor. Hindus prefer getting married to Hindus, but you can find Indian Chrisitans too ...
   2. Majority of Indian marriages are "arranged" - meaning the parents decide or atleast their acceptance is needed for the marriage.
   3. Even in the shaadi.com or in the other matrimonial sites initial screening is done by the parents. (So its natural that you get filtered !)
   4. And the biggest thing is - India is several countries within - which part of Indian women you like most  ? - the major regions are North, South, East and West - and each one culturally varies (language, custom, everything)
   
   And there are lot more ......................
   
   So unless somebody falls in love with you it is difficult to fulfill your wish .
   
   Pondicherry  a small state in India (within Tamilnadu, the southernmost state of India) has a french connection - Its a former french colony and lot of french people live there. And visa procedures are also simple I guess. Try visiting Pondy and test your luck (Pondy is 150 km from Chennai, the capital of Tamilnadu and the fourth largest city of India).
