Dogs and cats - because they love me almost unconditionally.  Compared to dogs and cats - people are very lacking in the area of giving affection.

probably Dogs though all animals have had an impact on my life I hope to someday get a dog of my own again and two horses. I have had everything from rats to tarantulas to goats and I love them all and every one has taught me so much.

Well for me personally i have 2 first being my dogs made the biggest impact in my life, and it is not for the same reasons as most. One of my dogs got hit by a car and it costed $2500 to save his life, and get everything back in order. Being about $500 short i had to look around for places that did cheaper work, i found a non profit organization full of the greatest people they worked on my pup for me for $1500 reconstructed his entire jaw and much more. After that i researched them a little more and found out they were one of few no kill shelters, and everyone there actually volunteered all of there time to helping these animals. Sense then i have devoted alot of time into helping animals and rescuing as many exotic pets as i can.

Second being my fish, mostly because of the conditions of our ocean and how many exotic fish are becoming extinct due to trash filled oceans.

Best question i have encountered thus far

Felines!!!  I have had three special kitties in my life and am now currently looking for another one as my last sweet little baby had to be put down 6 months ago...she was very old and had serious health issues...cats have been wonderful for me!  They make me happy and keep me calm.

Mine would be dogs, cats and bunnies.  We have 4 cats, 2 dogs and a bunny.  I had no idea that bunnies had such amazing personalities prior to adopting our cutie.  She certainly holds her own amongst all of our other fur babies.  smile  They are all part of our family, bring us up when we are down and love us no matter what.

cats. i have been rescuing cats for the last 11 yrs now. i have 17...12 adults and 6 kittens. there is just something about them...about the way they love me, their intelligence, the way they look at me...that makes me love them so much. i cant even think about parting with my kids without getting sick inside. i have learned much about them, their health, their needs, how they communicate, even their moods and how they think. they have taught me a great deal.

Definitely dogs. My first dog,  Teddy lived 18 years.  It was like losing one of the family when he died.
Rocket was my wife's dog.  He had cancer and i held him while the vet put him to sleep.  His pal,Bugsy, died six days later of a broken heart.

Vinnie the Pooh was my daughter's first dog.  She was a Russian orphan and Vinnie taught her how to love again. She still keeps his ashes by her bed.

Frankie Blue Eyes came along after Rocket died. We almost lost him when he reacted badly to a routine vaccination.

Jackson followed Vinnie and currently sleeps with my daughter.
I still have Reggie, our only female dog, but she is getting old.

Cats and dogs for me too. They love you no matter what. They are always there for you, know when you seem to be suffering, and they do not judge you!! x

I would have to say a dog.  They are loving and caring.  I swear they know when you are down or don't feel well, They stick right by you.  A dog is truly your best friend.
