Having a hard time with Google Adsense

Ok so I have asked questions many time and have researched but just cannot get quite the answer I am looking for. I have linked my Google Adsense with my Hubpage account. I understand that their is ads showing on my Hubs. What I am confused about is that on Adsense you can customize your ads and also put a search engine on. When you are finished, they give you a code where you copy and paste it into your page. Apparently this is not how hubpages works as it is supposed to do it automatically. Can someone give me some insight?

I think that hubpages takes care of both automatically. I've asked that before, too.

I am new enough that I hope I am giving you correct information.  It is correct that with HubPages it is done automatically.  Have you gone onto your "my account" page, clicked on earnings, and under Affiliate Settings have you added the Affiliiate code to the Google Adsense configuration?

I would also recommend that you click on the learning center link at the bottom of every hub page to find further information.

Good luck, hope this helps some!

Google AdSense for Search is not meant for Hubpages. Way of monetizing through Google AdSense as an affiliate is through Google AdSense for Content. If you have your own website, then Google AdSense for Search is a great ace in the sleeve. Yet, Hubpages is ad-based only - they even have their own search box.

Go to "my account" - "earnings" - "affiliate settings" to paste your Google AdSense ID code. It looks like this: ca-pub-123456789...

I know that you can incorporate the custom search engine and customize ads on Wordpress blogs, but, as far as I know (waiting for other responses to this question), placement and customizing ads here is done by Hubpages alone.

I'm with you, I do not understand Adsense either. I'm glad there is someone else out there.
