Does anyone else find themselves getting offended when asked about their religion?
I don't see why anyone should be offended when asked about their religion, unless they are ashamed of their religious affiliations.
I only get offended when people like TMApsey mock and berate my religion. But for the most part people are respectful.
Asking about religion means the asker is interested in the other person's opinion. In that way, no one should be offended, on the contrary. They should see it as a sign of interest, a chance to elaborate on their beliefs.
People who get offended by such a question are either really insecure or ashamed about their convictions, and neither of those they should be.
No, I am thrilled if and when someone wants to know about my faith or religious affiliation--but I won't push it on someone not interested.
No, in fact, I would be thrilled. :0)
I am exceedingly proud of Almighty Yahweh and His only begotten Son, Christ Yeshua (Jesus).
I am curious, seicheprey, what would make you "offended"? Unless, of course, you have good reason to be???
However, if it involves pink unicorns and dancing fairies I can understand why. :0)
I don't know if offended is necessarily the right word, but I can certainly be off-put by it, especially if I am questioned out of context or in a situation where I don't consider it appropriate. I managed a store for the past year in a predominantly Pentecostal neighborhood, and frequently would be asked if I believed in God, if I was a Christian etc. It was definitely a bit off putting at first, because I would never be so forward especially if I knew someone was working! It can also be offensive as others said below, if it turns into let's bash this person because her religion is different than mine. I've definitely gotten some of the "oh, you're Catholic, not Christian" reactions from people who either learn I'm Catholic, or who wonder why I "use pants," and don't say "God Bless You/Dios te Bendiga" to everyone I encounter etc.

Does anyone else have no chosen religion that they live by?I've never chosen a religion that I live by and I know I'm not alone but I just want to hear some other's opinions on the topic. Why do you choose not to stick to a religion? Do you believe in any or none?
