Sin is transgression against the Law of God. The identification of sin on the other-hand is what has people confused. For the most part sin falls into 3 categories, sin against God, sin against others and sin against self.

Jesus ushered in the Law of love. His love is unconditional and forgiving. I am persuaded that you cannot walk in His love unless you are born-again and filled with the Holy Spirit. Being born-again gives you understanding and compassion for others and being filled with the Holy Spirit gives you power to demonstrate that love and to walk in forgiveness.

Romans 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbor, therefore love is the fulfilling of the Law... Sin, is anything that "works ill" to another.

Sin is enmity between God and man.  Sin is anything against the laws, character and nature of God.  Sin separates us from the father.  Sin is the one thing that keeps the believer from God and can cost us our soul if we die in the act or practice of sin.  The bible says all have sinned but come short of the glory and honor of God.  Sin is not a choice we had, but a nature we were born with.  Thats why the bible also states if any man be in Christ he is a new creature or creation, old things have passed away behold all things become new.  Meaning the sinful nature is washed away through the blood of Jesus.  Now we are still subject to sin because we are still in this flesh but the bible says that God is able to keep us from falling and to present us perfect before God through Christ.  In other words we dont sin because of the grace of God, but we refrain from sin and try to live CHRIST like and know that His mercy is sufficient enough to forgive us when we fall short.

Peace and blessings to the children of God.

Either you are lucky and do not do sin or you are unlucky and do not know and do sin I hope the latter is not the case
Any state in which conscious is not disturbed and feels not molested for doing something is normal and without sin.
Any state in which conscious feels happy is doing something that is not sin, but instead Pun - what they call in Sanskrit - a God rewarding act.

The Hebrew word hhata,  translated as "sinner," means "one who misses the mark."

This word is incorrectly translated as "sin." God provides man with the target, his teachings, which we are to have faith in.

    1 John 3:4
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Sin is the behavior that separates us from God. Sin is the behavior that prevents us from living up to God's ideal. And goes back to Adam and Eve in the garden. Because of their disobedience, sin was ushered into the world and we're now living in the consequences of their original sin.
