    Free Anti-virus software?

Does free anti-virus software give good enough protection as opposed to the expensive ones you can buy?

Yes it does. Either AVG free or Avast free is usually good enough for individual use.

I second the guy who commented below about Avast or AVG I've used one or the other as long as I've had a computer - and they have always taken care of everything virus wise.

I had enough people tell me that Avast was better - and so now I use Avast free after using AVG Free for the longest time

I have Microsoft Security Essentials.  It's free and it's great for me.

Free anti-virus software like AVG will provide enough protection as opposed to the expensive one.

I agree with the people that use AVG free!  I also use Spybot S&D which is also free!

Microsoft Security Essentials provides excellent protection without any associated cost.

I recommend to use Norton on your computer. Download and install the Norton on the computer.
You can install the free Norton from the following link.

Find the steps to run the Norton Bootable Recovery Tool(NBRT).
