Is sex more powerful than GOD?

From my life learning's, it looks like sex wins. I have seen devoted Christians cheat, multiple partners. I thought this was all forbidden according to GOD so to me sex is more powerful.

God created sex.  It is only a shadow of the intimacy He desires to have with us.  When we are disconnected from God, sex is often the closest we can get to that intimacy we were created for and so strongly crave.  Sex is ONLY powerful because it is a human manifestation of something so much more powerful- union with the One who created us.

Sex is only as powerful as we allow it to be. It is a choice and despite our hormones, it is not actually needed for our survival. God, though debated constantly, created our bodies, which made those urges. So, no God, no sex drive.

Who would ask such a dumb question like that? Without God giving life and sustaining us we could not have or enjoy anything.

Not at all, sex or anything can not be strong more than God. It is God who has created the whole world and everything is the part of universe.

You're kidding, right?? There is nothing nor never was anything, nor never will be anything that could even come close to being as powerful as our Creator God! God created sex for the intimacy of a man and a woman in the marriage bed ONLY. It is His blessing, designed for procreation and oneness in the union of man and woman. Anything else outside of marriage is consider sin. If you look upon another person with lustful desires, it is sin.God hates sin. That is why we have been separated from His Holy presence. It was for that reason that Jesus Christ dwelt among us, God in the flesh, and died on the cross as a living sacrifice for our sins. Whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Satan uses sex to deceive believers and unbelievers to give in to their lustful desires, For Christians that fall into that temptation it's usually because they are not in God's Word and staying close to Him.

Well just a few things I can say about it first true christians wouldn't cheat so any that you've known who were "devoted" were obviously not. There's a difference between going through the motions (forgive the pun) and giving your life over to god. You can wear church clothes, go to church, pretend like a serial killer in a suburban neighborhood that your a stand up guy but really be rotten to the core. I think what your seeing is more generally evil winning out over good. But this isn't everyone. It's just when your a hypocrite that your in the public eye. Ask yourself what would get more views a video of a sex tape or a video of someone doing what is right. In human minds good is boring but it doesn't mean it isn't there.

look....man sins but that does not mean that whatever sin we commit should be compared with God.....thats extremely wrong and sinful.....i think man greatest pullback isn't sex but money because he might not have sex cause he's broke so we does whatever to make so much money to get whatever he wants including lots of sex.....even at that...it can't be compared with the power of God....Nothing can....it will do us good to stop looking for what or who to compare with Him and just serve Him wholeheartedly

You have a limited observation and most probably, a limited or young life.

Because, a thing is more " drawing" or " inviting", does not make it more " powerful".

Is the thunder more dangerous than the wind?   IS IT...........Which keeps you most awake at night?

What threathens your HOME more..........the drought or the rain?  The Fire?   Which keeps you from your sleep?

You can "beat" the train, or you can loose...........but there is NO TIE, it too, is a loss.

Why should there be a war between God and Sexuality?
What makes you suppose that this is even the case, except that you just haven been taught so? There's no "More Powerful" or "Less Powerful" that counts. That's part of the spiritual BS. that people are told day in day out and just is a very effective manipulation mechanism through the mean of making people feel Guilt, unworthiness ...etc...etc... and follow those who pretend to apparently know better, but do not at all! The best way to have an unstable sexuality is to suppress it and make you unable to learn your own essence that happens to have it expression through Sex, seen as something pure and not something dirty; that alone makes the difference between how you're going to handle the question or not.
God is One and omnipresent in everything ... in lack of words, understandable for anyone. But this should be easy to get.
Now my question! How can there be War between God & Sex, when Sex is the mean to create life? Why should we feel bad because Sex is beautiful?
Just because someone or some specific institutions want to temper with your mind and way to feel and say/decide what this has to be? Well, they do a pretty bad job on making people feel better and grow on their own.
Sex probably isn't what you've been taught all along and is closer to God than you could ever have imagined. But what would happen if you would come behind the real understanding of the nature of sex and that your own sexuality might lead you to a better understanding of who you are and what God is in that context ..?!
Dare to connect God and Sexuality to be one!
There's no reason to dissociate everything in order to keep people totally dysfunctional in their own sexuality. That is just sad.
YOU matter, God matters, Sex matters, let it be a question of healthy spiritual expression of yourself and your partner, combined!
Why shouldn't it be that way?
To me, that's one of the healthiest ways!

Sex is God, God is Sex.  Why separate the two when you can have both.  You can have the most extraordinary spiritual experiences through good love making.  I'm not talking about the ordinary organic huffing and puffing.  I'm talking dynamic metaphysical and physical intertwining.

And there are levels to sexual experiences, and you could say that the more into it you are the closer you get to what could be categorized as Godly.

as per Hindu philosophy the family is a social construct and not a God made one.The responsibility of the Gods in Hinduism is to ensure that the cycle of life goes on and sex is very important for that. There is God in everything as per Hinduism even in sex and sex is one the means by which we can commune with God.So many of the older temples have erotic art on the outside indicating that in this too there is God.So how can there be a conflict between something which has God in it and God himself.Sex as jewels says can be a method of reaching out to God.

that does not mean that all Hindus are promiscuous or should be.We respect that social construct since that is the only way for orderly sexual relations and the continuance of the family and society as we know it.

Even in the Christian  ethos where Gods word is that one should have sex only in the marital bed , tell me does only the non adherence to THIS commandment make one a bad Christian? What if the one you call a cheater was kind, helpful to all, spoke the truth all the time and stood by the weak?would be be a bad christian then?

Again who decides He was cheating?maybe his wife , otherwise an upright lady he loves too decides one fine day not to have any sex  at all and therefore he decides to have it outside marriage while retaining all his positive qualities.Who would be the cheater- the wife because she denied her husband's needs or the husband who sought it elsewhere?

all tuff to answer but some of you do try.

Sex is powerful but not more powerful than God. God created sex.

Sex was intended to be used in the confines of a godly-instituted relationship.

People have turned away from God and have distorted the image and the purpose of it – we've completely perverted it!

Sex is powerful ONLY because we make it so.

We choose NOT to deny ourselves, control our bodies and would rather succumb to sexual sin. Is doesn't have to be that way; we choose to make it so.
