Each of us has our own "litmus test" or definition of what constitutes "true love" .
The one thing we all agree upon is if it's "true love" then you are happy.
A few traits many people look for are honesty, trust, loyalty & devotion, love, intimacy, and emotional security within the relationship. In order for your mate to be "the one" they must also see you as being "their one". True love is a mutual feeling for one another. It's also important for the couple to "naturally agree" on how to obtain (most of the goals) for their relationship. Opposites may attract for the short-term but like attracts like for the long-term.
However in the end only you can define what "true love" feels like to you.

True love is a nothing but the dedication, affection and care for your beloved one. It is related to soul, it only increases with the passage of time.

Buy a dog, then you'll really know, no sulking, always ready for a walk, always pleased to see you, never holds a grudge.

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." 1 Corinthians 13:4-6

True love is any form of connection, as all forms of love are true in one way or another. Even in self-love, love still exists. It is often diminished when we find a strong bond or connection, but just because some are more potent than others, does not mean it is any less or more true than a previous love.

True love is love - one of defining features of love is it's truth, it's realness, it's eternal wholeness. True love is actual love and not thinking something that is not love is love.

Most folks think that the opposite of love is hate - but hate is the opposite of benevolence . . . the opposite of love is selfishness. Love, the "true love" you're asking about, is when you genuinely care more for the welfare of another than of your own best interest.

"What" is my true love?  How do I find "it"?  That's easy:  He is a human, and I found him living my life and not looking for him.

Man, that is a difficult question, experts have been trying to figure it out for ages.  True lust, is simple, "She is hot, so I want to nail her" quiet simple.  But love take more then that, lust usually play an important role, in the beginning of these love relationship and initiating these love relationship, but it is quiet obvious, quiet frequently even after those lust disappear, the love is still there, proven by the fact that so many old couple are still very much in love and face it, they are old and ugly, nobody is hot anymore!!!

True love is sacrificing your own needs to give your significant other what they need.  My father always said it like this:

Lust is getting what you want at someone else's expense, but love is giving someone what they need at your own expense.

And when I find it just by trusting God that I will, I will love with all I have, because it is something indescribable.

I am on the same line as jarofclay21  posted these wonderful verses from the Holy Bible.

What more can I say ?

Thank you jarofclay21 for posting this.

But the fact is that there is no love of this kind in today's world. If there is such a love then it is between God and human being or between parents and children.

It will be a miracle to see such a love between life partners.
