I remember I think i was four and I was on a big pile of dirt and I looked in the sky  and I thought I saw superman. But it was just the light in my eyes and an airplain but i was convinced.

    Let me ponder this thing..........

A childhood burn,.,. severe, scarring,,.,.,.,.,.brought about by sitting against the wood burning stove

A fire, caused by my brother and his friends, playing "tuff"

A dog called, Snow, how white he was against the winter wind

    Drawing water from the well

Going to "town", in my Father's " billet truck"..............".logging for wood"

My Daddy saying goodby.............as he went about his work of earning my keep

My mother, making potato soup....................do people really like this stuff?

I do not know, what the first memory was....................I only know that I came to overcome all memories, and yet to embrace them............THEY are the memories that fashioned me...........

My daddy, sitting on the porch steps, tellling me, that my Mother was gone
    My Granddad, strong and powerful,

telling me, in my little girlhood, that I would have all that I  needed

My big brother, vowing, to take care of me

My little sister..............looking to me to lead the way

    My
Grandmother.....saying, you are younger and stronger..................

Family, pulling together, to make life happen.....................that is the very best of my childhood memory.

It does not matter to me,which memory is first...........they all combined to build me.

This is an interesting question, because I have images constantly flitting across my mind.  I can't say which is the first of these memories, but I vividly remember shopping with my Mother.  She was buying a new dressing gown and I suggested a particular one.  I had just turned three at the time.

I remember my first spanking in the delivery room, man, did that hurt! Just kidding ha ha. When I was two years old. My dad died of pancreatic cancer. Probably my first memory was my dad holding me in his lap on the rocking chair reading me a story and laughing and my mom stood in the hallway and took a picture of us. I remember that incident and my mother taking the picture. While were on the subject of my dad. When my dad passed away, I remember one of my brothers lifting me up over the casket to kiss my dad on the forehead. These are the only two memories I have ever had of my dad.

I remember being about 2 and waiting with my Grampa for my brother to come home on the school bus.  My Grampa would open a bottle, yes a glass bottle, of Coca-cola and using his pocket knife he would peel an apple and we would sit in the yard eating and apple and drinking the Coca-cola while we waited.  He sang, "You are my Sunshine" and made me feel like the entire universe revolved around me!!
