How to resolve communication problems with family members?

The first step is to understand your part about why the communication has stopped flowing freely between your family members.
Have you been hurtful or dismissive when speaking to them?
Are you open to their concerns no matter how "left field" they seem to you?
Communication stops because the two sides cannot see each other's viewpoint and it's important to start with understanding each other to be able to talk calmly and openly.
This may even involve putting your interests on the backburner for a while.
    Good luck.

My best answer for this with my experience is to repeat the process of the once communication that they ignored. I make sure I go through all of the family members that I want the message to go to and then repeat again to make sure the communication has connected correctly.

Communication is definitely the key to good human relations. Whatever, the problem(s) is/are, you guys will not able to resolve it, if you don't sit down and talk about it! Don't keep on sweeping it under the carpet, because it will build up, making it even harder to deal with. Finally, respect each other opinions and validate each other feelings whenever you all sit down to talk.

Hire a team of shrinks. This is a tough one because dealing with family is often times near impossible. Egos get in the way. A good way to deal with it is to ask a trusted and respected friend of the family to help.

Well, there is a saying, you can choose your friend, but you can not choose your family, but if you are able to understand them, you might have a better chance to communicate with them, although it is not necessary

The first thing is to think about the personality of each individual to have a targeted and different approach to each of them. Then, let them know you come in peace, respect and understanding and just want to make things better. Then be patient and prepared for any response. I tried to mend my family a few weeks ago and I am still in pain of the reaction: everybody ran away from me, at least those who are happy with the feud! I made peace with it and take care of my little family and myself and surround myself with good people. The rest will go where it is supposed to. I am happy like that.
