It doesn't really matter to me as long as we both are happy and get along well.

I don't really care too much about whether she is hotter then me, but if she is like super hot, then ha ha ha, something I can show off to all my friends (not so much to the guys back in high school though, because I use to get all the girls with out ever trying back then, never understand why, considering I was a total geek, back then)

my wife is at least as smart as i am, probably smarter and she is a lot more attractive. though these things don't really matter, i do love seeing a gorgeous woman in bed with me every night and i love having someone who can answer questions i can't.

He actually is. I think it helps. I have a tendancy to get bored and unattracted to my partner's over a time. Now? He keeps me guessing. He always has useful information to throw at me that I never knew or considered. Though he is the hands-on, science oriented one. I'm more of a pondering psychology girl. smile Makes life fun!

As much as it pains me to say it, I need a partner that can challenge me intellectually. That is where my wife comes in. However, she is a science major, so we are intelligent in two completely different schools of thought. As far as attractiveness...don't go too far above your own station.
