   Why are religious people so loud!
   
   Why do people that believe in their god make so much noise while us atheist, non-believing, normal people just get on with life with a smile on our face?

   While I'm not exactly a "religious" person, I do consider myself a non-practicing Catholic. I know plenty of very religious people who are happy to believe quietly, even when those around them don't share their beliefs. I also know many atheist people who can't stop talking about how ridiculous it is to believe in God. Just look at your use of the word normal. So essentially the large population of the world who do have faith in a higher being are abnormal, freaks? You're awfully hypocritical considering you're the one answering this question, I'm assuming without a smile on your face.

   Do you really think all religious people or all atheists are the same and react the same?  That is like saying all women are bad drivers, or all men are sloppy.  We have strived in this age for individuality and to be judged as individuals.
   
   I have met very obnoxious Christians who believe they are right and will push it until they drive people the other way.  I have also met and read work by atheists who are very "loud" about their distaste and disgust for believers. 
   
   You say you get on with your life with a smile on your face yet you choose a graphic that depicts believers as stupid.  That in itself is very loud.
   
   I think it comes down to personalities of each person.  I am a Christian but quietly so, I will discuss my faith if asked and am glad to do so, but will never push it on anyone--you can't win people over to any belief - whatever it is - by bullying.

   How do you define "loud"?  By making this question, I would consider you to be "loud" about your beliefs.  It is silly to generalize all "religious" people.  Religion is a belief in how the universe was created, so, even if you do not believe in a higher power, if you believe something about how you think the universe was created, you are religious.

   People are quick to defend what they believe in because they've invested most of their lives to its teachings. Religious people in general feel the need to "convert" others who don't believe exactly what they do. I am Catholic and I have witnessed this as well. There is nothing wrong with expressing what you believe, but I think there should also be a line you can't cross.

   I wouldn't know. I'm very religious, but I tend to keep that to my self. I don't try and convert people because I believe that it's wrong. And as such, I would expect that others give me the same respect I give them and not try to convert me. The same goes for Athiests. So I don't know why some are louder than others. Possibly they want to prove they're right and you're wrong. I don't care; I don't think anyone is either wrong or right.

   Unfortunately some believe that they need to be seen.  The bible actually says it is not wise to preach or pray in the street in a way that everyone can hear you.  I'm a Christian and I believe when people do that it's obnoxious.  We all give loud praises to the Lord in church but we don't need to yell all about for no reason.  People would be put off and feel offended.  I know you're an atheist but I don,t want you to get the wrong idea.  A lot of us are chill and laid back, we strive to please God and live like Jesus which basically means that we try to exude love every wherever we go.  I hope I gave you more insight.  BTW Happy New Year!  1NELOVE!
