   Both. I feel a freedom when I write fiction and enjoy the freedom to create. But I have often found myself using writing to ease bad feelings and emotions.

   This is a good question my stuff is a little bit of both.. fantasy copies reality or vice versa  so yeah a little bit of both

   Some of them are, some aren't. I know that's a really unsatisfying answer, but it's the truth. Some come from things people say or do, but not all. Demon's coming for you for example just kind of wrote itself when I was listening to some rap/screamo/techno music. But Love who you love, came from an argument I had with someone about gay rights.

   Both imagination and reality inspire my poetry.  Actually, it is reality that sparks my creativity, whether in my writing or painting.  Nothing trumps real life.  Although, I believe that everything that can be contemplated has already been done, the creativity inherent in writing has the power to make every experience new.

   I find that I use real world things for the smaller details in my writing. If a character has a memory from their childhood, there is a good chance it is my memory. If there is a quirky trait of the town the story is set in, it was probably a trait of the town I live in, and descriptions of actions, like riding a roller coaster, are also based on real experiences. The story and fantasy elements, however, are a composite of previous knowledge of similar stories. I may think I'm making it all up at the time, but every idea comes from somewhere.

    My poems are definitely all real life experiences.  If I walk out my door and see something unusual or rare, I come on in and write a poem.  (See: All these Bugs Aren't Good for Me)

    I love fiction, but in some ways it's a reality of someone's somewhere even if it isn't mine. I think that why when books are made, and movies are made. The people that created the masterpiece have to make sure that they put in that disclaimer about the events, names, and all that other disclaimer information in the fine print.
    
    Most of my poetry, that's real events. I'm usually upset so then I write. I use my phone and then I have to remember to put the poem up on hub pages. Rarely I will come up with a poem that is happy or joyous and if I do it's usally the end of the poem. My titles come to me after I write them.

    For me, it depends on what I end up writing.  If it's a poem, then it tends to be about my emotions and how certain events have affected me over the course of my life.  If it's a story, it might be a combination of real life and all the aspects of fantasy that have a tendency to indulge in, because truth is often stranger than fiction.

    It depends on the mind. If it's imagination, then I write inspired by it. If it's reality, then I write inspired by it. In one word: Both. ^_^

    I find it difficult to read, write or watch fantasy.  I'd rather deal with the pain or pleasure of reality.

    well, both. sometimes a mixture of both, sometimes pure fantasy, sometimes pure "reality"
