   Which hubs do you enjoy more -  the longer or shorter ones? Or does it depend on the topic?
   
   Does the length of a hub affect whether you read it or not?

   It really is a bit of both. Mostly - I am looking at the topic. If it is a topic that I am really interested in, the length doesn't matter, just the quality.
   
   However, that being said, I will admit that I sometimes click out of a hub if I find it is too long. This is because I am trying to read it on my spare time and if the hub is just too long... I get distracted and don't really grasp what the writer may have intended for me.
   
   Too long of hubs can be unfair for both the reader and the writer. The Reader because maybe they are just looking to read something quick on a short break (or in between there kids hounding them) and the writer because if the hub is too long - readers like me might be intimidated and back out or get distracted in the middle. It might now get my whole attention as I have other things going on as I cruise through hubpages!

   I think hubs need to be detailed - especially hubs like I tend to write that are more "how to" or tutorial like.  If you are going to share information share it well.  I find "how to" hubs that are really short kind of annoying because they typically are fluff and lack details as to the "why" of things. 
   
   that being said being too wordy can also be counterproductive.  I think it's important in longer hubs to break things down into subheadings and arrange your information logically and in chunks rather than one huge paragraph etc.
   
   If a hub is long and is just wordy without good organization that too is very off putting.  I think longer, but well structured is typically better both for reading and for SEO purposes.

   I would have to say it depends on the information contained. Not long ago I took about half of one of my hubs offline because it really didn't pertain to the title of the hub. I have better results since doing this.
   
   What is important is that an article remains on track with the information the title and summary tell me to expect. I believe this is true for everyone. So to me it is not about the length. It is about what is contained in the article.
   
   Topic has some bearing also. If I am just gleaning information short and to the point is fine. When  I am reading about people, their lives, or other subjects  which are of just interest to me  longer is fine. Quality matters probably most of all.

   I enjoy the hubs that are short and concise.  I am the same way with magazine articles. I like to get the information and move on.
   
   I admit, I pass up on the really long hubs and poems.

   If it's twenty words and a picture - then I flag the thing as being extremely low quality.
   
   If it's ten thousand of the most engaging words ever written - it's a work of art.

   Depending upon whether the hub is one of my interests, I prefer the shorter ones.

   It depends on the topic.  If it's something I'm really interested in, the longer the better!  On the other hand, if it's not something I'm interested in, I usually just skim it or skip it if its really long!
